Hey, im upgrading from AOL's 2kbs conn to a cable 3mbs (hooah to me! :) and on the thing it said I might need an NIC Card, from doing a lot of googles searches I couldn't really find out what it was for but I think its for networking, and I already have a network card so I was wondering if you could tell me what is it for and do I need it?

a nic card is basically a network card, you need it to connect your cable modem to your computer, although some newer modems support USB2.0

so even tho i already have a network card im going to need to buy an NIC Card?
also, if i have 2 computers im going to be networking will i need 2 NIC Cards or just 1 and a router

erm no you don't need another one if you use a router it should work :D

NIC = network interface card = network card.
You need 1 NIC for each computer if you're using a router.
