IN Doom3 alpha, the nVidia cards had problems playing Doom3 Alpha, my own DOOM 3 alpha version doesnt work... i have GEforce FX 5200 and drivers are fully updated, and it doesnt work...

And now i am reading that the id SOft recommends GeForce FX Family video cards... what the hell ?

Im afraid to buy the game for 60 dollars just to find out it wont work just like the alpha

you should wait for the demo
but I'm sure it will work on your system
because I have a GF FX and it works fine for me

no! the alpha is need you to use 45.32 version driver(Nvidia) or you can use "RivaTuner" to emulate NV40 in opengl column(the best way)!
and the original version(1.0) have solved the problem~ so you can buy it if you like!

find driver settings, then click the right of forceware detected "customize..."! then you'll see a icon like opengl then find this~you 2 newb :ermm:

what should I say?! it's this!

by the way.when you want play original version, dont use 52.16 forceware driver~ I find it have very serious error!and the best driver for NV3X is 61.7X! it can improve the performance in doom3!but other games have more problem...may reduce the performanceor other error~certainly! this is up to u.

Doom 3 was made and tested on GeForce Machines.

You will find it works alot better on nVidia cards than it does on ATi cards, that is why there are so many ATi card fixes for Doom 3.

I also have that video card, and I have had no problems what so ever, my game runs fine ,do have enough mem on your computer to run the game? Is it possible your card may be messed up? Also 56.64 drivers ? I am pretty sure thats the latest one , I would reinstall the drivers ,see if that helps
