For some reason in all Half-life mods.. my mouse will periodically stop working. I have to stop hitting any keys and stop moving my mouse to get it to work again.. normally it only stops for 2-3 seconds. I CANNOT figure out wtf is wrong with it >:(
System Specs: Dell Inspiron 8000
1Gig PIII
32MB Nvidia Geforce2Go
256MB RAM
WinXP Pro
Mouse:
Microsoft Intellimouse (optical w/ wheel)
I have all the latest drivers and OS updates.. i've had this problem even before I upgraded to WinXP.. back on WinME.
I doubt anyone will know wtf to do heh.. I've searched high and low to no avail. :(

it depends what country you're living in, like it's alot easier in the military when you're living in North American then if you're living in Israel. but I woun't bet on anything since well... I'm not in any military and I don't plan on joining any military.

nah man... military is a voluntary thing... so I made damn sure it didn't suck before I joined it :P i live in a free apartment and maids clean my place every day ... fresh towels... even a mint on my bed. ^_^ going out to sea for 6 months to bomb rag heads kinda sucks tho....

I am having the same problem. It turns out that it isnt your operating system or anything, it's just that the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical mouse is an older make of optical mice and it has conflicts when used with CS 1.5... so what im gonna do is get another mouse and try it out on my machine because i also might think that its a problem with Windows XP (doubtful, but it would be funny if Microsoft made an operating system that conflicted with it's own products :D) but I will look into it, but until then, SOMEONE GIVE ME A SOLUTION DAMNIT hah because its killing my performance in CS

problem with some logitech mice is that the mouse wheel will not work with certain games (IE Serious Sam)

I don't like mouse wheels so I never experienced that problem with my wireless optical mouse

well i have news: THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS XP i got a Logitech mouse and its still the same problem... so either get a ball mouse (preferrably a razor mouse) or switch to 98lite or something

I have no idea what you're talking about I played serious sam before with my logitech mose on my xp system and I had no problems with it at all ??? maybe it's because I don't use xp drivers for my mouse :p

Try lowering your resolution, that might solve it, or change the video modes completely. I found out when playing max payne, when I had high resolution my mouse lagged for a bit every now and then until I lowered the resolution for the screen and it works perfectly. I'm using logitect wireless optical mouse. Also try updating the video and mouse drivers when possible

Unplug it as in taking the battery out and putting it back in again? What do you mean exactly? I have Logitech optical wireless mouse with wheel.
