Money bug

I found a money bug in a private server. I got my friend to try it, but it seems he can't reproduce the bug. Anyone else experienced this?

Good way to get rich, although money is mostly useless in private servers. Would be cool if someone could reproduce in an official server but I doubt that anyone could. If no one knows what I'm talking about, I'll post more details.

It worked as of Sept. 14, 2004. I haven't used it since then but I would assume it still works. As far as I know it's ONLY on private servers(someone probably would have found it if it was on official :P).


Stuff to know:
As far as how it works, well it seems kinda buggy but it works.....somewhat. First thing you need to know is that you should start with about 50K. This is only so it goes fast(i.e. the more money you have, the faster you make money). Second thing you need to know is that you will lose all your money. If you're thinking, "WTF!?", then get a friend to help you ingame. You'll need one so you can get your money. If you're still thinking, "WTF!??!?!?", then you can start with 2 adena, but you might be there awhile. Thirdly, this is an infinite money bug, but remember #2.

Instructions:
1. Assuming you have 50K, buy 25,000 arrows. Buy EXACTLY that many, but only with EXACTLY 50K.
2. Go back to the store, do #1 a total of four times.
3. Since the arrows sell for 1 adena each and you bought them at 2 adena, you should have doubled your money(if you sell them now). Sell them.
4. Your money is doubled so now you can buy 50,000 arrows.
5. Repeat for awhile then move to a higher priced item.

Why it works:
- You should have a weight of zero(I did but I'm not sure if that's neccesary).
- You are buying something with ALL your money, that's the key to it working.
- Your money won't decrease if done properly
- AFAIK it's only for private servers. Not all servers are confirmed working with this bug.
- Stackable items work best for fast results.
- Doing it 4 times just makes the math easier, thus even faster results.
- Remember that you can't buy more than 1 million items at once.

Getting your money back:
1. DO NOT LOG OFF BEFORE YOU FINISH STEP #4.
2. Get a friend online. A trustworthy one. Better if you know them in person.
3. Give him the 1 million crystals(sells for 240 each) you should have by now.
4. Get gim to sell them at the store. Make sure he hasn't used this bug.
5. Log off, Log on.
6. Split the profits. You now have 120 million adena each.
7. The money should now appear in your inventory as an item, whereas it was not there even though in the store you appear to have money.
8. Log off and Log on again to make sure it's permed. (I've had stuff dissapear before)

You're done, filthy rich and a dirty cheater. Pat youself on the back, go buy some uber gear, and own some mobs.

btw, I'd like to know if it works on official servers, or even works at all for anyone(official or private).

edit: You can buy items, keep them and sell when you need money if you're anti-social.

Actually dont bother, because just from reading it , it makes absolutely no f'ing sense.


Wooden arrows sell for 2 adena each, so if you buy 25k of them 4 times that means you are blowing 200k adena, then selling them back for 1 adena each you only get back 100k. which means you are LOSING 100k adena.

I tried it with a lower number just for shits and giggles and it did not work for me at least. And as the math shows above it makes no sense anyways.

TheivenFewl - I know for a fact that you didn't even read the instructions properly. If you had you would know that in PRIVATE servers it works SOMETIMES and your money WON'T DECREASE. Thus you don't lose 100k.

Some servers are patched to prevent this bug.

Absolutly sh*t mate, everything is patched by now.I suggest you play legit because thats your only option.
Its not so bad if you level up a bit, th emore skills you learn the stronger you are :D takes a bit longer but hey thats why its fun.Getting money to buy weapons isn't fun :(

The only way to get easy money now would be if there happens to be an item which sells for more than it costs. It happens. Easily fixed though.

Now that keeping 2 l2 accounts open has become so easy...i dont understand why people don`t make a dwarf and put it on SSD acnd SSC sale with l2walker and play their real account on the l2 game....

on the private server i play on you need about 400 mil, go to girin and talk to woodrow, buy quest/misc items, buy 99999 s grade christals, and 82319 a grade, then sell them back. you'll get about 1.8 bil

arent you being quite dumb? all his matt is fine except the part he doubles money.. he actually can buy the 50 000 arrows.
let's do it SLOWER! lets NOT care about having exactly some adena or not thats just to fool you -_-

step 2 - do step #1 4 times. Ok then we spend 4*50k to get 25 000*4 arrows so you spend 200k to get 100k arrows.

step 3 - since arrows sell for 1 adena each and you sell 100k arrows you get 100k adena.

with those 100k adena you can, in fact, buy those 50 000 arrows.

dont you get people the guy just made you watch values doubling with something that didnt have much sense (double adena). you forget you do it 4 times but you actually calculate them then you dont realise that you didnt spend just 50k adena for the arrows, but you remember you have 100 000 arrows to sell, so getting 100k adena for them.

all his matts are good .. except the part that you double the adena rofl
