New PURE Q3 Hook (works on 1.31)

OGC Quake 3 Client Hook 1.0

Here is the first version of OGC for Quake 3 Arena. Currently there is a linux and windows version for Quake 3 arena 1.31. You can use this on all servers, pure or not pure. Current features are aiming, esp, and advanced weapon code for leading targets and lag compensation. Currently, FFA, CTF, Team DM, and freeze tag are supported, and more mods will be added soon.

If you join a server through gamespy can u execute the bot?? kinda confused it only starts quake and then u have to go throught he multiplayer option in quake. Would kinda like to go through gamespy and execute if possible?

How can i get this to work like nopbot (aka make it do much more accurate INSTANT shots instead of finding the target and having to hold it on +aim till it predicts nuff for me to hit (which takes about 1-3 seconds, and thats way to ez to get caught) theres definately a way to make it do much faster snapshots.

killmad, whats their site address, and can u ask em to fix the bot up so it aims like nopbot did (as in, aims instantly at the person so u dont have to hold it for like 5 seconds b4 u can hit everytime, its very accurate only if u use it like an AIMBOT, as in use it fully and all the time, if u use it for rail and try to use it like u could with nopbot, it almost always misses.)

I found a good way to use the ogc bot... it is more like a autofire.
First set the ogc_fov to 8

do this
access the console by pressing ~
then type

/ogc_fov 8
/bind mouse3 "+aim;wait;wait;+attack"

Now when ever some **** gets close to your crosshair just press your middle mouse button... trust me it looks good... and not like a aimbot... and it is fast also on another note... you dont have to hold n e button :)

Well, plastique and woolf are wrong.
1) I did not use ANY code from clientbot forums. You can look at my code, and look at that of clientbots, they have nothing in common. The person who wrote the clientbot one only works on windows, anyway, so I would have no way to even use it, as I dont have a windows machine with a 3d card at home.
2) The method of setting viewangles was obtained through detouring XGetEvent() and making it throw a SIGUSR1 to gdb, and then backtracing the stack.
3) I used the OGC InterceptDllCall function for windows version. OGC Code is distributed under the GNU General Public License. If you had read this license, you would see that nowhere in it does it say:
"Redistributions of source code must retain the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer"
as the BSD license does, which requires stating all sources. By releasing my code under the GPL, I am fully compliant. I have been writing open-source software for years, so you are very wrong if you think the GPL states I must say "I read on a forum that there is a function in the win32 version of quake which moves the x and y into registers, but this function was of absolutely no use to me since I dont have windows and had to detour XGetEvent and catch signals, but since he was first to find this function, he gets full credit". Actually, the only person who can "own" that function is ID Software, not the first person to reverse engineer it.
4) But, if System really wants his name added to the readme, fine, thats no problem, I will add him, as I did use his code. But just because I may use the same function as plastique doesnt mean I didnt have to find it. *MAYBE* if plastique included signatures for the linux functions as well, some credit would be fair, as I could have just used those, but I had to reverse engineer just as much as he did, so there is no reason to issue credit for something I had to solve myself.
5) I didnt "code it from scratch". If you looked at the code, you would know it is very similar to the SDK. I kept everything in the style of the SDK. cvarTables, function names, etc all have been kept. Most of the code is actually write from the SDK. The util functions such as DrawStringExt are right from the sdk as well. Is that something I should be ashamed of? Absolutely not. Why should I rewrite something thats in the SDK already? Parts that were not in the SDK(such as aiming, target leading) were written by me, and the quadratic math for the target leading is credited appropriately in the source. I give credit when I use something of someones. I used System's InterceptDllCall. I used MikeBots Quadratic Math formulas for calculating lead(this was pure math, not source). But plastiques viewangles...sorry but there is no function in the linux binary which moves view angles into registers at the top of the function, it is about 10 instructions down atleast, and they arent sequential.

In addition, the fact that there are windows crashes does not reflect my coding skills. The only windows machine I have at home has no 3d card, so all I tested is in singleplayer for about 5 seconds. Any linux users will know there are absolutely no crashes, ever, in their version of the hook.

Well... At the current point I'm still thinking, that u used Plastique's info from CB's forum. Not in the direct mode (copy&paste), but u have worked an workaround.

Second think : Plastique asked on the CB's forum to not use any of that info in any public hacks. Why? Cause there are some people that care about Q3 (Q3 MODs) and don't want to see it as much ruined as OGC did it to CS community.

Third : If u think I have all this stuff in my head from Plastique, u're wrong. I visit CB's forum every 2nd-3rd day and read new posts etc. I just never post in there. Why? I have no coding expirience...

Anyway... time will show what u will make of your hook and what ID will do about it etc...

Wooolf has a good point there.. I use to be a silver member for GXP and the private stuff was made like that for a reason...
Because the public releases really do kill the gaming community.
That is why I no longer play CS... which is a bummer because it was one of the best MP games to ever be made.

But that is just a stand point on it...

But also the public releasing also is good because it shows how and also that it can be done.


And maybe it could lead to the best ANTI-Cheating system... but in the software world what can be done can always be UNDONE! :)

Sadly... i have already gotten to good with this cheat, a few days have gone by and i have not be accused of using an aimbot, even with 10+ spectators... and thats with rails ranging from 75-90%

I doubt that... 95+ percent of the people will be caught instantly.
The few that will get away will hide it so much they wont be very good anyway.
The even fewer who will use it good and get away will stay out of real competition because they are afraid that an admin will catch them.
The even FEWER that will BE in the ladders and cheat actively without ANYONE knowing.... well your just sol then arnt you? mabey 15-20 players will be able to make it on ladders and cheat actively without being noticed.

and 15-20 cheaters will not ruin q3. So i doubt theres too much to worry about. Unless noskill has found a way to make ogc 2.0 rail in such a fashion that it looks very convincing but hits very accurately (70-90% like ogc 1.0) but chances of that are very unlikely. He would have to programm it to aim like M19-LeXeR or Fatty, or a few other players i could name. And chances of that happening are quite rare if not impossible... its an aimbot, not a person

This bot is just pure crap, it is so obvious for a player who knows quake inside out to spot, even if they try and use that stealth thing it will never work cos they will miss and miss and move like a peasant, and suddenly come out with a wonder kill !
This bot wont affect leagues or many experienced clans at all, cos its so pathetic, this guy says he doesnt get detected with 8 people spectating ? Well the fact 8 people are spectating is indicative that its a newbie server and newbies arent very good at spotting things, this bot will never touch leagues unless people are dumb enough to try.

In essence all this bot has done is ruin the game for newbies, so in reality the newbies have turned on the newbies, not a very nice thing, now they have no game whilst the good players carry on enjoying the game amongst themselves.

true i have aswell, i have tested and tested and tested this shit if you already have a good aim in q3 ie 30 - 40 you can use this with ogv fov on 4 - 8 and bind +aim; wait; +attack you can look very natural and get around 70+% and not be noticed and no that is not with noobs some of the best people have speced me and can not tell even people who know me very well and watched me play for quiet a while i.e. 1 year
this will reck q3, well at least ra3 if it makes it into it, as they said they are not going to make another release for ra3, people could effectivly use (as long as they are pretty decnt with rail already i.e. 30%+) this as it is on ra3 with rail if it didnt crash. So ra3 would ultimatly be ruined as for osp they will release an update hopefully.

You get the white screen because you copied all other paks and shit into the baseq3 folder and ur prolly using the sy66 paks too.

1) it crashes because of sime types of vid drivers
2) as soon as noskill release it :p
