config for mage bot

hey guys can u help me formulate an effective config for mage? im really having a hard time guessing the distances for the skills. how will u tell him to use soul strike and then back off when the enemy is near melee range??

even a hint will be fine, but more help will be glady appreciated ^_^

i kinda figured it out. but my bot still gets too close to that mandragora. can u see whats wrong??

if it gets too close, then the distance must be too near, i suppose you need to change this:

attackSkillSlot_0_dist 8

to something bigger, maybe 15 or 30 ?

also, you might want to change maxuses to a lower value, something below 10 maybe ?

attackSkillSlot_0_maxUses 100000

of course, i could be wrong...

you can make the attackSkillSlot_0_dist 13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5. This will make your character attack in the distance given...

hmm.. so if gets in a distance of 5, it will back off right?? but the problem is i don't know the max ranges of the mages spells like firebolt etc.

also, any tips on where to bot in specifi levels??

i dont think bots are able to do that. u should just get a healing clip and tank the monster a bit. of course phen clip too.

oic. thanks for the replies. well, i have found out that mages are really a pain to bot ^_^ but i really want to be a sage. too bad i lack time to play. anyway, ill just experiment more on the bot. maybe ill alter its code if i can, only if i can...

its just a low level mage. basically, ill put points to int till 60-70 and then dex or vit. what do you sugest? can i see ur config? thnx!!

getting a creamy clip would also be useful, set it to teleport if taken any damage.
If fast enough, your mage wont get the damage.

what level is it now? coz i only botted my mage when i got 60 int and i botted in a non agre/non cast detecting map =) btw my mage is a fire mage so i usually use fire bolt.. and yes creamy card is a must coz my mage teleports when it couldnt kill its target

Low level isnt a matter.

Just bot at some place where u can kill a monster with 1 skill.

Like poporing. Use firebolt 4, or anything which is enough to kill it in 1 hit. if not 1 hit, use bolt lvl 4 then napalm beat or soul strike.

Most will be 2 hits or 3 hits. Poporing can bot till lvl 40+.

if u have soul stike bot on eggyra.

Firebolt need some time to cast.

So using Soul strike to kill Eggyra will be faster.

what level is it now? coz i only botted my mage when i got 60 int and i botted in a non agre/non cast detecting map =) btw my mage is a fire mage so i usually use fire bolt.. and yes creamy card is a must coz my mage teleports when it couldnt kill its target

once i had a level 23 mag and i botted it in zombies using soul strike. but i found out that ss is useless, so im gonna restart. im planning to et firebolt too, and bot it in mandragoras, then yoyo, then after that, hodes. after hodes, what next??

if your int is 50- 60 i think the monkey land would be apropriate =) whats ur mail ?ill email the config /no1. for the monster list i only went to the monkey land coz in the hodes map theres no money to harvest.. my mage REALLY grew up in the monkey (job 50) ;)

a tele clip is quite useful but my mage is already equipped with a heal and phen clip... currently am using flywings....
