Computer and video game publisher Gathering of Developers, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., announced today "Tropico: Mucho Macho Edition(tm)" has shipped to stores. This ultimate fun-in-the-sun compilation includes a full version of "Tropico," "Tropico: Paradise Island," and more than two hours of original, award-winning Latin music.
"Tropico: Mucho Macho Edition" also includes 12 all-new scenarios, Prima Games' official strategy guide in electronic format, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes video look into the making of "Tropico."
Players of "Mucho Macho" will:
Increase their wealth and power in more than 45 scenarios (like Spring Breakdown and El Presidente For Life) packed full of yuppie tourists, tropical storms, rebel uprisings, and more!
Create a Tropical Paradise. Build swinging nightclubs, pristine nature preserves, lucrative rum distilleries, and over 90 other buildings.
Rule The Land and build their population from a mere 35 to a bustling 500 unique individuals. Each mcnana brings new births, marriages and even deaths (natural or otherwise...)
Create an all-powerful dictator. Ever wanted to rule an entire island as a lying, paranoid, compulsive gambler, here is your chance.
Take care of the people, or they will take care of you. Tend to your people as they deal with devastating disasters including hurricanes, popular rebellions, military coups, and U.S.-sponsored invasions. Feel their pain - compassion makes great propaganda.
Exploit over 40 edicts such as Mardi Gras, Book BBQ, and Martial Law to tighten El Presidente's grip on his people.
Experience over two hours of original Latin music, from award-winning composer Daniel Indart, allows you to experience the full Caribbean flavor.
About "Tropico" The winner of several top industry accolades, the original "Tropico" is an island building simulation based on a remote Caribbean paradise. As an all-powerful dictator, the player must create a life of prosperity and happiness for the island residents while secretly lining his own Swiss bank account. "Playboy" called "Tropico" "one of the finest and most dangerously addictive gaming experiences of the year," and "Computer Games Magazine" wrote in April 2001 that "Tropico" is "the perfect game to sit down with for a couple of hours, with a margarita in one hand and the mouse in the other."
About "Tropico: Paradise Island" "Tropico: Paradise Island" is an expansion pack for "Tropico," an island building simulation based on a remote Caribbean paradise. As an all-powerful dictator, the player must create a life of prosperity and happiness for the island residents while secretly lining his own Swiss bank account.
With the expansion pack, the disastrous effects of tropical weather force players to contend with hurricanes, tropical storms, hoof and mouth disease and red tide. These disasters translate into both economic and human losses. Fragile buildings crumble, including homes, docks and bunkhouses. Crops are lost and morale decreases. As El Presidente, the player must restore the island's beauty and the people's faith in him.
