huhuhu, the botting situation will become worse in pRo with this...
a friend just told me that our local cafe will be offering botting service soon. they just still need to get the bot and of course, configure it. i wonder how they're going to charge for it... maybe per hour or per day ? and how about the loots ? if you were the customer, would you trust the cafe owner not to LOOT the loots that the bot will get ?
hmmm... maybe it's time that we put a stop to this, to the spoon feeding... if botting becomes prevalent, we loose the advantage that the bot gives us. if everyone in pRO ends up using a bot, rares will become so common place that they loose the exact thing that makes us want to own it.
nuub botters gain the advantage of using the bot without the pains that comes with looking for it and the information needed to make it work efficiently. they just copy and paste and voila, their bot is working perfectly. they don't need to spend hours reading the documentations, searching the different forums, trying all the available settings and watching the bot perform.
hey, i'm not being greedy, i just want them to work for it and not just cut and paste the configuration that they need to make the bot work. let's limit the bot to those who work hard for it. let them use the search button and tell them to go and RTFM...
one way of doing this is by limiting the configs that they can easily get. make it harder for them to get a bot and configure it. also, we can limit the posting of *complete configs*. just point them to the right directions and give them hints on how to do it.
make them work, make them use their brains, make them earn the right to own the bot...
from now on no more spoon feeding, tell them to use the search button and go RTFM...
of course, it's just me...
