Computer Restarts?!

Hello, My computer restarts 7/10 times every time i Join a HL server (cs,Tfc,ect) but it mostly happnens on Cs. I can Tell it has some thing to do with sound, and it happen just as the map finish loads and the console starts to float up. Does this happen to any one, and does any one know of a fix for this?

This only started happening a month ago, and it is starting to bother me alot.

I think about hit problems...
try to check if your cpu getting hot like hell or your vid card don't have enough of cold air...

other probs can be incompatible vid drivers... ( get one at www.nvidia.com to be sure they are good ones )

I just Checked them both, and My cpu is around 80d F, And i got the newest drivers for all my hardware =\

weird... I had same problem with CS and Win 2k...

then I changed drivers... same results
changed vid card... same results
changed RAM... same results
changed motherboard with processor... that one helped...

damn expensive soolution...

Well, if worse comes to worse I will re-Install Half-life =\

mostly its ur hardware conflicting with one another, ... eig vcard wans to do sumfing but CPU tells it to **** off there fore it will restart ... heat shouldne be a problem as that i have a Athlon XP 1600+ overclocked to a 1800+ at air cooling ... .. try taking the cards out and putting them in, rememver to make sure they are locked in correctly

I belive I fixed it, my sound driver was out of date =)
