I posted this in counter strike section so its a dbl thread ,,, maybe it'll help in the source area where it belongs
I figured that sense Im a "downloading hacker" and I leech from others that maybe I can contribute something to try and help. Atleast I hope it helps. Also, some steps Im going to write probably didnt need to be done but I thought I would let everyone know what I did.
Its worth getiing it to work and when your done you'll see why!
After reading the “READ ME” a few times it became very clear how to get this hack to work. I went through the posts and recognized some of the others problems they were having. So here’s what I did step by step:
Extract the hack into a folder and open it… Keep it open too!
1. I installed: “.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1” <--Google this w/out quotes it will look like this in your DL folder: NDP1.1sp1-KB867460-X86.exe
2. Now install: “Directx 9.0c” <-- Google this w/out quotes (not the vowel o but the number 0) ;) it will look like this in your folder you downloaded it to: dxwebsetup-1.exe) strange but it's 9.0c!
3. I Took all “dll” files onto desktop EXCEPT: “IcT Dx.dll”.
I placed the ones that would paste in the system32 file. The existing dll files I had that wouldn’t go in I rename them so I could place the ones from Ict hack in to the system32.
4. I renamed the existing files in the system32 file to… example; the file “msvp71.dll” could not be copied into the file so I named it msvp771.dll. Now since I renamed the file, I can place the file that came with Ict hack into the system32 with no errors or whatever pops up. (Just click and drag)
5. I opened up steam then opened cs source and went Options->Video->Advanced
-options: it’s at the bottom left hand corner of your screen (same place where find server is)
-video: is one of the tabs of the pop up click that
-advanced: its 2/3 way at the bottom on the left-ish side of that pop up screen
6. Now change everything in there to this:
a. Model detail - Low
b. Antialiasing - None
c. Texture detail - Low
d. Filtering - Bilinear
e. Water detail - Low
f. Shader detail - Low
7. now open the console and enter "mat_dxlevel 80" <-- no quotes
8. Go back the hack folder and find the “IcT Dx.reg”. Right click on this and you’ll see “merge” click on that and your good to go
9. Now I’m not sure if this did anything but here’s what I got out of the READ ME…
With steam opened I RIGHT clicked on Counter strike source and created a desktop shortcut. With the shortcut I opened it up once again and went to properties. Where it says target, I COPIED IT and then closed it out. NOTE: you won’t need this shortcut to get the hack going so erase it. (I had to create a shortcut so I could find where it was directing to, also known as the Target)
10. I opened “IcT Dx.exe” (the HL2 symbol) went to options as it prompts to do or to start. Click on “other” and paste in what you copied from the properties of the Counter Strike Source shortcut.
11. I clicked on what hacks I want to work and checked them off also check off Directx 9.0c click save and close it out.
12. Drop the autostart.cfg.cfg from the hack folder into C:\Program Files\SteamApps\youremail\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg :ermm: - I don’t think you need to do this but its sitting in mine
Getting it to inject:
13. Click on the “IcT Dx.exe” (the HL2 symbol) in the hack folder
It should read: loader initialized.
Then click start and it should read: Loader Ready - Searching for Counter-Strike: Source
Now start CS: S and it should load up!
It won't inject until your CS:S is up and running so dont panic
I play with the game in a window so I can hit the menu key and check if its working. It reads: Injection Succesful. <-- Yay!
NOTE: if your playing the game in a window then make sure your screen resolution is the same for desktop and the game itself. example: desktop= 1024 x 768... then the games screen resolution should = 1024 x 768
FYI: what I see when it loads is a white screen then the background pops up with a green x-hair and a clock that also shows the date. Sometimes the white window dosent come up but the rest follows as I stated above.
If you follow the directions properly then it will work and your sure to have lots of fun!
Remember guys/gals that there is spectating in the game so try to keep your game play looking real. Hopping servers and just making it obvious will piss people off and just create more email to the creators of 1/2 life 2 for cheat protection and VAC2 will come out that much faster.

What I would like to see in the future for this hack is a toggle aim key, a panic button and vec changing, playing with models on high ect..... Other then that this hack is very nice.
