A lot of question on IcT.Dx.Light.1.3.5

Make sure the you check the

I looked at the file, but what is said above is not specific enough.

After typing in that, is it supposed to do nothing?

6. Make sure all your settings

I'm not sure if it is supposed to say then, because with it saying the, its confusing. Also, I did not quite understand it. "switch to DirectX 8.0"

7. Close CS:S and open up IcT
Dx.exe and configure the
options by your liking

When I do this, It has 'Loader initilized', Then 'Start' and 'Options'. I hit 'Start'. Then it says 'Loader Ready. Searching for Counter Strike: Source', 'Abort', and 'Options', Am I supposed to wait, because I did for about a minute, and then clicked options, and turned some things on, and left some off. Set 'XQZ Wall' 'No Smoke' 'Skinhack' 'No Flash' 'Crosshair' 'DirectX 9.0' 'hl2.exe'(does that mean I got CS:S with HL2, because thats what I did) and 'Aiming Key mouse 2'.

Then I hit save. And then I had to restart my computer, because it froze. Then I started my own server just to try things out, it did not work. Nothing was working (as usual) Also, I'm pretty sure I have DirectX 9.0b or did it automaticly up-grade with Hl2?

Thats it. I'm getting angry because hacks never seem to work, and I just want to try and get this one working so I know all hacks are not useless. Please anyone answer thease question to the best of your ability.

Good lord, heavens and some other stuff... This is going to be a long story, since you don't understand the very basics of Cheating and DirectX... (Not a problem, just stating a fact I guess)
But here we go:

1: In the Zip or Rar file you downloaded were some DLL's included. Copy them into C:\Windows\System32 . If you can't copy them, rename the ones that are currently there and try copying the ones from the zip again in system32.

2: Some ppl have Colored Models installed, so Terro's are Red and CT's are Blue or similar. If you haven't done this, don't bother and go to the next step.

3: XFire is a chatting program specially made for gamers: www.xfire.com However, you shouldn't use it during a cheatsession.

4: An SFV file checks, if you use the right program(don't have an example right now, never do it myself), if the files downloaded are not corrupted.

5: It is supposed to do nothing, but you can check in Options > Video > Advanced whether or not it says DirectX 8.0 or not. It's a way of your computer sending commands to the Grafics card to say it very basicly.

6: You're supposed to check the things you want, press save, and then press Start. Then start your CS:S normally and it should 'inject' itself into CS:S and have the hacks enabled you selected. To change them press the 'insert' key on your keyboard for an ingame menu.

Gee, Thanks for that. Your right I don't know a thing about cheating. I learned by looking around I should use DirectX 9.0 and I figured out the DirectX 8.0 thing.
One last question if you can, about the typing in the command, mat_dxlevel 80 Is it supposed to just do nothing after you type in the command?

Yep, it's not supposed to do anything. But once you type it in, and you start typing in mat_dxlevel again, the number next to it should be 80.

i have a litle problem ...
i set all the things as the readem says and all gone fine till i needed to open the ict dx.exe
when i want to open it it says "could not find hack" i thought to myself may be it is becuase i using the cracked version and i need to change it to the shortcut exe
then i look and its writen that i need to change it in the "click the "Other" radio button in the loader" and i dont see any loader any other or any radio what i need to do ?

That's somewhat dumb... If you already have those DLLs in your system32 directory do nothing on that. If you rename them and copy yours there, that is not going to have any effect on your system. Windows XP had something called file protection. When you do that you are really doing nothing to change your system files, it will revert back to the correct dll even if it looks as though you were allowed to change it. Those files are MFC files mainly, that are only to be put in your system32 folder if you dont already have the MFC libraries on your system, for a developer like me, I already have them :-)
