Anyone know how this will be released? I know that you probably will be able to download it on Steam, but will it cost money (I remember the first DoD being free)? Will it be out on shelves? :)

DoD:S isn't made by ValvE, but ValvE is a partner of the company that actually makes dod, so i think tehy're still on an agreement to make DoD:S and the profits

but i have gold and in my steam games i have DOD:S but u cant download it just yet

Valve says it has. If you click on Browse games, you can see that you get DoD:Source with the silver package.

for those that want to know, the silver and gold package doesn't get into the first stage of beta testing only developers and friends of the developers and the best players in the world get in. they'll be releasing a second stage beta test for the silver and gold, "soon." i have the silver package and mine still says:

they've started to release gameplay movies and screenshots. they said maybe by the end of the month. hopefully.

I have silver and it says that it hasn't been released yet but we'll be able to dl it once it is..
