Could you make an animated spray for T and CT of them crouching and uncrouching? That would be nice. And make a fake spray of an uber gun on the floor :P like a M249 or AWP or para.

They work great for me in certain locations. For example, choose the decoy terrorist that is standing. Join a server on italy, be terrorist, and go right off the start. Go inside the main building where the cts are coming through and spray it on the walls around corners. They fall for it almost everytime and run directly at the spray with guns a blazing.

i used the CT spray many times in aztec map near the bridge, and the T's realized it was a spray and stopped shooting it, i tricked them in the next match, instead of the spray I was sitting there!!! lol and the fools didnt shoot me!!!!!!!!!! :D :P :P :D

An idea for one is a terrorist with an auto or ak(animated), ive seen an animated AK terrorist (and yes i shot at it(aztec cross bridge)) nasy things those:P

Or a bomb(animated) from the top view would be nice.

Hey guys, me and Arch are going to work on some new sprays...don't get too upset waiting :-D We're going to make hostages included, Ts and CTs crouching and shooting. Not to mention updated bomb models and crap. Also, I talked to Arch about making a gun spray for the ground...^_^ I thought making a M4 for the Ts and a Kreig for the CTs. Post some suggestions, expect a release soon...not really but hey, not like we're valve :-D

Nice job on the sprays, is there a way to script it to where you can press say / for one spray, then * for another and -...ect. This would make it easier to switch on the fly, also how do people spam sprays? Ive seen people paint a whole room a different color! When i spray I can spray about 1-2 a round.

Nope, the spray only changes when there is a map change or you do a server change.
Btw, the console command for a spray is "impulse 100" (Or 200, or 201 or 101, the flashlight is also one of them), maybe if you play around with those numbers you can spray more?

Its impulse 201, but thats not what this post is about. I found a cool thing that makes it easy to "FIND" cvars. I typed in spray and it didnt find anything so i typed in find... and it worked! I THINK it has to do with vgui will get back to you if i can figure it out!

If it's your server then you want "decalfrequency 1" without the quotes. It's something like that and I've done it before.

Anyway i had changed my settings to low but now they are back to high, but i still cant see my sprays. Is there a cmd i can change in order to make it visible? What is your "mp_decals" in your config set to? I think if that is at 0 then you cannot see any sprays, try setting the value to 50 & see if any sprays are visible.

You need the converter, which you can find in the MPCDownloads Section to convert the .vtf's to .tga. You can edit the tga files with Photoshop or anything that opens it and then, (if you like, not necessary), convert it back into .vtf. :)

If you mean that all Sprays doesn't look good by you, try to set your Visual Settings higher.

If Sprays you made doesn't look good, take bigger pictures :)

What Patrickwannabe says is true. I found that out recently as well. I have 256x256 sprays, yet they looked like crap. When I turned my visual settings up (don't know why they were set to low, probably because I tested something on IcT Dx 1.3.5), the next map, my spray looked waaay better. :)

The texture setting affects your spray picture quality. I set mine to low cause of A holes who spray tub**** and goat** crap, they say haha look at my spray, and i say, what ? all i see is a blob my textures are low, and their like, ahh crap.

lol i also have this when i want to make a spray thats also vft file right?.. :S
then i just open a pic. and do save as C:\Program files\valve etc.
and then select astype vft :S

for animated sprays you need a tool called ATC (animated texture converter)!!
you have to edit each frame of the animation, save each frame as .tga-file and then the tool converts them all into one animation!

and for vtex and atc, the dimensions of the file have to be 128x128 or 256x256 (thats whats meant by "a power of two")
