Does any one know how i could get Different colours to represent sg's on my radar. I see them as the oppositions colour only . + Anyone have a clue on how i could make my pipes det automatically.Like proximity mines (On a coding spree :D )
Help would be appreciated:confused:

What hack are you using? Sg's usually show up as white dots - some show up as white dots along with the sentry build level:eg ltfx would show a white dot in the radar and when you get close to the sg you would see something like "sentry level two" appear as a warning. Maybe using the "change target colour" option would change sg colour?
I haven't heard of a pipe det script, although there is a quick det somewhere - would be nice. I have a coupla scripts that let you lay pipes at your feet, even on slopes, and one that lets you lay a perfect circle of pipes around a dropped flag. If you want them, then I will post them.

Well, auto-det pipes is a very fun feature. Ill give you a hint: think of OGC grenade dodge. That should help you out a lot.

ok - for the uninitiated - and the grenade dodge script works very nicely!! - how is the pipe det script done? This muppet really IS a muppet - and sharing is a nice, friendly thing to do! So I am told. Sometimes.

LOL!! Very mean!
I am obviously new to this particular forum, so I don't know any of you guys and who best to ask for help or advice. But heh - I will ALWAYS help anyone out if I can with scripts etc if someone asks or if Ican direct them to a useful web site, I will. Why login to a forum in the first place if not to help or get help yourself?
So - if you have a change of heart, my email address is
muppetwithpuppet@aol.com
But at least your reply was humorous - made me chuckle anyways!

sorry Muppet I know lilgordon4 and I doubt that she'll have a change of heart cause if she did that would prob mean leaking and I know that she'll never leak anything so... "don't hold your breath" ;)

She. LOL never knew :D. Anyway. We do help. But handing out hacks isn't helping, Cos if They hand em out. They either become Detechtable or Just common. Both of which such. THats why most ppl stick with the scripting questions

No problem. Thanks for the info. And in my modest amount of flirtations with the fairer sex, I usually find that women NEVER change their minds!

//bind for placing 8 pipes around a dropped flag

//then press bind key once more for 2 more pipes in the center
bind KP_MINUS "setcircle"

If u don't know how to Get it to work just Cut and paste it into ur demoman config. Exec it from consol (exec demoman.cfg) and press kp_minus or ur selected bind. Wait for 6 pipes to be laid then press it again. And when the final 2 have been laid. Press kp_minus or chosen bind once again. Very handy For flag defense cos u can press it a few seconds after u notice the NME has ur flag message

Thanks thevilone, but I already got those scripts!! And very nice they are too. But I appreciate you takin the time to post 'em. I was mostly curious about the post you started with, about a script that would cos pipes to auto detonate if someone touched them, like a proximity mine. Now THAT would most definately be worth having.
I got plenty of scripts for solly, med, demo and engy if you are ever interested - but you would probably have em all anyways if you have those demoman scripts.
Thanks again for posting.
Oh, and rather than using multiple buttons to set a detpack timer - this is nicer :-
// speak
alias detsay5 "speak five;developer 1;echo 5 SEC DETPACK;shortwait;developer 0"
alias detsay20 "speak twenty;developer 1;echo 20 SEC DETPACK;shortwait;developer 0"
alias detsay50 "speak fifty;developer 1;echo 50 SEC DETPACK;shortwait;developer 0"
// Detpack Select
alias det5 "beepsound;alias detpackset +det5;detsay5;wait;alias detpackselect det20"
alias det20 "beepsound;alias detpackset +det20;detsay20;wait;alias detpackselect det50"
alias det50 "beepsound;alias detpackset +det50;detsay50;wait;alias detpackselect det5"
alias detpackselect det5
alias detpackset +det5
// Weapon
bind "whatever" "detpackselect"
bind "whatever" "detpackset"
Just keep pressin "detpackselect" key to set timer. Its just as quick too.
Since your talking about demomen right now i have few questions. I was wondering if someone could post the old quick pipe det script because me and some friends play and lan with the first version of tfc. My other question is i was looking around for demoman scripts obviously and i came across this article. http://www.ironglove.com/tfc/old_news/news_05_01.html
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get more than 8 green pipes as the news post at the very bottom explains. I would like to know how this was done or see the script.

cheers muppet but i only ever use 5 seconds :D
Since I wasn't completely clear in my first post about the article I'm referring to the bottom news post about more than 8 green pipes for those who care. Someone post the quickdet too because i know that was open to the public I just cant find it anymore.
