HL 2 - Too Easy

Just finished HL 2 and I have to say that it was way too easy.

In HL 1, I spent maybe 3 hours total just back tracking and being generally lost. In HL 2, I was maybe lost for 30 minutes total. It's all too easy.

Monsters/Aliens in HL 2 are considerably harder than HL 1, mostly due to better AI. However, I was disappointed at the lack of "Boss Mobs". HL 2 had 5 boss aliens (The 3-stalk alien, the pyro-alien, the "fish", the headcrab queen-thing and Nihilith. HL 2 had the only the Queen Antlion.

*NOTE*: I played HL 2 without using any cheats or trainers, and completed it on Normal setting. I am also aware of the fact that you get a glimpse of the "fish" alien from HL 1, though I did not have an encounter with it in-game.

it does show you the ways to go etc most of the time. I have spent about 30 mins being lost already today, and i am just onto the town after the mine shaft place :x
the monsters so far are quite weak.. but then again, the crowbar is powerful :p

All the puzzle is pretty self-explainatory.

IceWolf: I'm guessing that you use the gravity gun to solve that puzzle, as with most of the puzzle in HL 2.

I was sitting a little over an hour ago.. around 00:30 am going to play it.. then i just turned it off lol...

with the airboat, i got shot at with rockets, and my airboat flipped upside down, then back up, and so i went traveling, and i didnt realize i was going backwards, i went all the way back to the fsking start point i was so pissed rofl.

I finished it under 5 hours. Gets pretty easier near the end for me, for some unknown reason.

Its not that hard of a game :/
The first one took me much longer than this one did, this one probably took like 10 hours combined time, and most of the way just playing with the ragdoll corpses :P

Dr. Breem attempts to escape into the Combine universe. Obviously, you stop him. The Dark Energy core thing explodes before you and Alyx can make a getaway, but G-Man steps in to stop the time and teleports you into some dark realm.

He tells you that a you had done a lot of things in a short amount of time and that someone has bought your services. Then a door opens in the side and G-Man steps off.

That's about it I think.

I beat the game the first time on the hard setting, but I was taking it slowly just to look at the beauty of the game. If you want more of a challenge just stick to the lame weapons and see how quickly you die. :D

Game was alittle easy and short. Half-Life 1 was considerably longer. I beat hl2 on easy now im going back on normal and already past heli boss. After that ill beat on hard mode.

Why not play all your games on hard the first time through? If it is too tough, only then should you tone it down. Once in awhile a good AI challenge is good. :)

Its a great game, I love it. But yeah the airboat level pissed me off too. It was too long and boring.

I tried playing on hard but stopped in ravenholm..
I always ran out of ammo.. took me like 2 smg clips to kill those spiders..

yep, the boat part annoyed me as well.

played on hard, never had that problem with ammo and ravenholm. no didn't use cheats, that crowbar can be useful. if u mean the bit where ur waiting for the lift thing from the father, get them while there on the drain pipes, couple of shots to the head works. before that i used most of the exploding barrels, carrying them around and dropped them. is possible to do with limited ammo.

Ahhh i was stuck on that part also well if u go to the other bit (pond thingy) and swim down u can see a air canister thing (it will be blue) grav that and realease it under the ramp with the other one then your good to go :) + game took me 4 days on normal lol compared to your times i suck :P

lol, straw. i'm re-playing the game more slowly now, i wanna try and enjoy the eye-candy. that blue barrell and ramp took me aome time to figure out as well.

and thats one of the things i hate about HL2 puzzles; they all use the new engine, in HL1 u had the 1 where u had to nuetralise the acidic water with barrels of alkali, and other puzzles like that. i was getting sick and tired of carrying planks of wood and barrels around, all puzzles are solved by one thought - gravity.

HL2 could have been alot better..... COMBINE guys were toooooo easy to kill and some weapons were tooo powerful but Hl2 is still one of my favorite single play FPS but counter strike source wins the show.

HL2 is a good game, I just HATE HATE HATE the ending its a scheme to make us really really want to buy HL3 when it comes out so Valve get to bathe in money.

I dont know about you but personally if i get lost in a game for 3 hours i say **** it and then burn the game... if you get lost for 3 hours the game is poorly designed but personally i havent tried either of these games and i do not intend to.

hl2 was shit, good graphics shitty game play. not much to do, the game was short to me, but mods are what makes the game last long.
