How are people banned from individual servers?

I have been banned from a few servers that i would like to get back on to. I was wondering how I am banned (IP, CD key)? How can I get back on the server?

You can be banned by player name, IP, game GUID, and PB GUID. You are most likely banned by your game GUID which has nothing to do with PB. The game GUID is based on your CD key. Change it, and you will be no longer banned from that server.
