Hi all, please use this site:

To verify files uploaded here or linked in threads.

As long as you dont open them in your computer, you're safe. Download them on your desktop, then, login the website and upload the file.

It will check them and give you a report. Copy-paste the results in the same thread you found the file here. It will help out the members.

The site isnt perfect but its pretty good.

May i also add that http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html is also a great online scanner in combonation with jotti, it also has a great feature were it automaticaly sends the infected file to av companies who don't yeat have it in there database :),which increases overall user protection :)

That´s a nice website but I was wondering how it works? How do you get all those anti-virus programs to scan a file all at once without even having the user download anything (unless you do have to download anything , I haven´t actually tried it out yet)

is it you send the link to download a certain file and the av company will take a look for that,without you to download the file and send to the av company

some viruses are self-activated, from the moment you download it? i've only seen those kind of viruses which add pop-up and mess up your task bar =.= ... much better if you use a norton ghost ^o^, just save the image with all the files you want, first b4 you use it... but for your case its too late
