I just would like this tread to be something where people can post possible hacks or progress on making one.
Im trying to use Winsock to sniff out some packets but havent got any result yet, cuz im realy new to that stuff.
Lots of people told me this game is eazy to hack, though there are no hacks for the english version yet. (someone found a inf health hack but he wouldnt want to share it and only hacked it to see IF it was possible)

So if you got any Bots, speed hacks or anything at all post them here.

Anyways, these was someone with a hack, mainly cuz he hacked the other language versions once before.

Also the reaon why i made this post wasnt only to get the hacks that where allready there, if there where at all, but also to give people a eazy to find post where all people that are buzy hacking ROSE could post theyre progress and share new stuff and be appriciated.

yeah it would be cool if we share our progress in this game, I've tried speeding some stuff, it works ok for movement and attack speed (it speeds them up) but you can't get a god-mode this way (it speeds up your hp regen but you don't get the real hp, it's handled server-side)

still need to try some more stuff, anyone else has got something? I'm not asking for the actual methods, just want to know if certain stuff is even possible

it aint that hard to tell what u used to speed it up ? we could figure out ourselves but atlest tell the program if u want :bunny:

packet editing -> ethereal + packetyzer or wpe pro
speedhacks -> speedhacknt speeds the game but it doesn't speed up neither hp rec nor attacking or move speed

Here is my Suggestion:

Everybody shuts up for now.
For some reason you people dont get it, no-one has a hack yet.
Anyone that is creating one, a hack bot or whatever sould use this post to share his er progress (allthough i think thats not clever to do because then people start whining again) and post possible files.

Its no use to ASK about hacks here, wait till there are, atleast you know they will be posted here.

And btw one more thing, if i where deadbeef and i was trying to get a hack i wouldnt even consider sharing it after all this whining.
My point, be pacient, give people the time to create them and IF they wanna share you'll notice, annoying em wont help them work faster ;)

Im just going to sit and wait see if anything gets developped, because i dont have the skills to make em myself.

Meenwhile, play ROSE a bit without cheats, its still a good game to play.:D

I was able to freeze my Def rating but it doesn't seem to effect what dmg is taken against me. Can't find the value for ASPD or movement speed. Like you said using a speed program only increases the speed of the game but not things that actually matter, like aspd and movement speed.

You can tell it's working though, because the tips up the top are going nuts. Able to freeze money, but that seems to be server side - as you think you can spend as much as you froze, it does not work that way.

Can't find the value for HP.

Now with packets, I tried numerous things. But each time i try something it d/c's me. I'm going to try more tonight, as i'm only level 10. Once i get a job level - i'll see if some skills can be modified.

That's my progress so far. Not much - if any.

fabolous you've got a bunch of messed up concepts, you're never going to freeze your money with memory editing in mmorpgs, that's all server-side stuff, you need to look for stuff that the game might handle without interaction from the server, then it's just trial and error

as for packet editing, you should try ethereal with the packetyzer frontend (both GPL'ed), it's much better for analysis than wpe or whatever you're using

I don't think I'll try much more stuff with this game, I just boosted up my movement speed by a little, just cause it's annoying to run around so slowly, no point in getting more attack speed as it's easily noticeable and you'll probably get banned and I kinda like this game so I'll try to play fair for now

I spent about an hour or so analyzing packets a few hours before the game went online for the firs ttime, with the intent of actually making an IRC bot for a Rose channel I stay in so that it would announce whether or not the server is online or not. I was unsuccessful though because the packets (at least those involved with authentication) are encrypted. I studied a few hundred encrypted packets containing identical unencrypted data but only found a few similarities - nothing that reveals how to decrypt them.

Has anyone attempted decrypting network traffic, and if so could you give some clues on how to decypher them. Also are the packets not even encrypted once you pass the login stage?

man all i can say is that deadbeef has a point...and i respect it...
I've already hacked this game, since the japanese version beta opened public...
It's so easy, you need to know a small bit of hexadecimal and use a packet editor..
(for noobs i recommend WPE, try google)

Ok, I got the movement and attack speeds to work... HP/MP was found also but obviously those are governed by the server so changing them doesn't help any. I also made it so that skills instantly recharged but the server seems to keep it's own timer for those as well.

So to summerize what's been tried and what works:
- Attack Speed - Yes
- Movement Speed - Yes
- HP/MP Lock - No
- Instant Skills - No
- Hacking Stat Points/Levels - No
- Hacking Skill Points/Levels - Not yet attempted.

deadbeef I'm also interested in hearing what else you've attempted, even if it didn't work, luciusninja also. Keep the momentum going!

Ive bin trying to but since im new i got nowhere yet.

After searching forums and stuff i noticed some say this game is , liek RO, completely server side.
Apperantly thats not the case, atleast not completely.

Since a few of you managed to get the movement and attack speed up im wondering how i could use that.

Every time i take a look at the game with WPE i get a hell lot of packets and i got no idea how to filter one, any good tutorial sites so i can get the hang of it?

I was thinking of looking for packets that give your monster locations.
Then send a generated packet to sellect and attack them.
But even that i cant figure out :P

Im glad you people are making progress! Keep up the good work.
For now im going to expirement with memory "hacking" with a offline game.
Just to get the hang of THAT and then move on :P

Oke well my training has paid off =P well, bleh, it was kinda eazy.

Managed to get my attack speed to a rate thats so fast , its like wearing 10 doppel cards in RO.

Stupid part is that this is something everyone notices =P
Still fun, maybe if i make it really heigh it looks like a 1 hit kill?

Mmmm, i tried a bit to, i managed to get something that seemed to be a way to increase your Attack speed.
Only thing is, its not what it seems to be :P
Atleast, how i figured, your speeds go's up but on the server your info aint changed. This results in only hitting when you normally hit and meenwhile alot of MISS is displayed on your screen.

Pretty positive its the same with the movement speed.

I used Tsearch to speed up the attack speed variable and lock it down.
The guy who got the speed to work did the same?
If so, do you feel like ts making you hit more?
I meen, isnt it the case the time it normally takes for you to hit again gets filled by misses?

Well we can talk alot if you want to but its not use.
The attack speed is only speeded up on your screen, its still the same on the server and it wont let you hit more. Actually, think you hit less but thats besides the point.

Stuff like stats, hp mp and exp just aint client sided. No use trying to hack these.
That trade thingie sounds good, but i got this feeling the only thing u'll find is a way to foll yourself.
The trading go's trough the server again, so you can only fool your client to show the wong number and not the other traders client.

I only looked at memory editing for now, im not expirienced enough with packets, though i tried sending movement packets to teh server, makes me crash all the time.

Personally i think the only chance on "cheating" with this game would be a bot.
And to make one of those, the client souldnt crash when sending a packet.

Any result from othe people?

Forget the things with Memory Editing.

You cant freeze the money - maybe on your screen but not for the other players.
If you try to trade like 500k, only you will see 500k but your trading-partner will see your maximum money -1 (yes you will have 1 zuly after such a trade).

The only way is to decode the packets and try to get for example the packet which sends the server the information about buying something (@NPC).
Then you will change the packet.
Well - now you got the Item you want but you didnt pay....

If you want the Algorythmus for the Packets just disassemble TRose.exe or try to find anything in the DLLs (well... you should have some experience in that ^^).

u can try getting multi-windows for ROSE by hex-editing, not sure if it works. . . . dont ask me to do, i have plenty other stuff to do.. (trying to play fair in ROSE)

This is a topic about hack for ROSE online, something to post the hacks or ask for help while making one.

Its true that hacks can ruin the game, if to many people know then the game aint fair anymore. If you ask me there isnt a better time to hack the crap outa this game. If i would pay for a MMORPG and it was completely secure because people hacked it over and over in BETA stage i personally would be happy.
That's why in my point of view your guys keep it for yourself just to have a advantage, and think thats logical.
Its fun to win 100 miljon [your curency] but if all other people get the same then its no use.

Well it is possible only not with memory editing.
Like i said, help out, share or give a hint here to help out people that are trying to would be the best, to help out Godlytanker , me and other people to understand some more of it.

The more time you waste with these posts the less levels you could have gained on ROSE. For instants you've possibly justed wasted 1-2 hours just reading and replying to what people have said. Now I will help yous out with the movement speed cheat so read carefully because I don't want NO pms!

Movement Speed Cheat:

1> Download TSearch1.6 or latest version.
2> Run ROSE and Open TSearch up in any order. (Make sure you login to your char etc.)
3> When in game, *remember your M-SPD* and then alt+tab or use windows key (whichever works best for you).

**FROM NOW ON MUST READ CAREFULLY!**

4> Click the icon "Open Process" - Find ROSE.exe (or whatever the rose exe is called) and double click it.
5> Next click the "Magnifying Glass" Icon, you will see this just under the "Open Process" Icon to the left.
6> Type your M-SPD in "Value", and set "Type" to "2 Bytes" and click "Ok"
7> Now it will be searching. A big list usually comes up, let it finish then you click "Ok" again.
8> Alt+Tab back to ROSE and now you have to alter your M-SPD, there is only one way I know how to do this, that is to "Remove your shoes!"
9> After "removing your shoes" check your M-SPD and remember it, alt+tab back to TSearch.
10> Now, there is another Magnifying Glass you click previously, click that one and now put your new M-SPD in the "Value" table and you should still have "2 Bytes" for "Type" *Click search* -- You know the process. This time it should find only "1" variable.
11> Now highlight that variable and click the "Green +" icon. Now it should have moved to the right side of the variables table.
12> Click your M-SPD change it anywhere between 0-3500 and then click the "Smiley Face" Icon.
13> Return to ROSE and yepee you run faster the Forest Gump! You will have to do this everytime you start the game.. - If TSearch is still open when game has been exited, just reclick the smiley face when you are back in game.

of course its use packet encyption. and maybe alot of it. currently working on it and hopefully come to some progress. it would be great that someone out there who are also working on the hack willing to share with me their finding or maybe we can create it together(this encrypting things bug me alot). I had only manage to read the in game data between server and client. because of the different encryption, i wasn't able to progress much. i done a 25 login logging and all the logging gave me a different values. only manage to find one almost similar pair of log. so from this i guess they have serveral encryption protecting the game.

Well the Movement Speed changing with T-Search works... i can move from town to town alot faster with M-Speed at 2500... but tried all the other stat's and dont make any difference... it's all server side, like someone said, but move speed can help to get to the spot... not a big thing :hurt: , but a beggining... :P

Already Out ? where? i can't find none... and btw... i was talking about when you move in a map the mosnters get slow to appear, BUT! they only take a little to appear... i tested it and counted the time... when i was using the normal speed and get to the place, if i used 2500 m-spd, i get there faster and they loaded faster... so :\ say what you want.... bot's with pixels are the tipe of conquer bot's right?!?

it only seems like you removed the restriction, but you really haven't, there's a check in the server

ah wait, maybe the stat restriction works? lowering the level restriction doesn't seem to work, you can click the item but it will do nothing
but maybe you can lower the stat restriction? not sure, lazy to test anyway as it's just better to use a "exp-hack" to level yourself up, that's what I'm trying to get now z.z

tsearch dont work, ive already tested it. yes u see ur char attack insanely fast, move like forest gump but im telling u it is not working properly. imagine this, u hit insanely fast but 80% - 90% of the attack miss, u walk very fast but it feels like ur not on that spot, try to run to an enemy then use a skill, spin attack for example, u wont hit anything but air. i even change the hit rate to 2.5k and it still miss lol

hmm i suggest try using the maple speedhack concept, like getting the pointer and press f2 or something to change the attack speed.

1 question, i know RO and rose have diff programmers/developers but the concept "might" work. how do modkore bot can find the monster and monster location? through packets??? coz pixel detector sucks.

Why go that fast you ask, well at this speed you are fing superman thats right you can fly across canyons and such, also you can climb the tallest mountains at which point you can jump right for the exit your aiming for, and when you cross the exit line the sever catches up automatically. As you may already know when mooving at fake speeds the server usually takes time to catch up to the client causing you to miss your first attacks BUT this can be worked around to an extent. When you pick up an item the server catches up automatically allowing you to hit right away so you can definately gather items with whatever speed you like. But wait you can also use this hack for a runaway type dodge (if you use long range w.) this is because as soon as a monster notices you and starts attacking you, both you and that monster become 100% clientsided or at least thats how the game seems to act, So if you would like to try killing higher level melee creatures with a gun, spell or bow you just have to wait untill the server catches up to begin the battle but after it begins..... its client side (this may not be helpfull as there is always some other highlevel longrange creature just waiting to ruin your day). For normal battles try setting it within 400 of your actual speed as you wont notice much lag unless you run a mile before attacking. And to return to normal just unfreeze and either (un)equip something or attack something and presto.

BTW this hasnt been patched and anyone who says it dont work is either paranoid and lying or never really gave it a fair chance, also if you get stuck off the board you can recover by clicking near the people but if you get stuck in a tree you must restart ...lol

Ok, I got the movement and attack speeds to work... HP/MP was found also but obviously those are governed by the server so changing them doesn't help any. I also made it so that skills instantly recharged but the server seems to keep it's own timer for those as well.

So to summerize what's been tried and what works:
- Attack Speed - Yes
- Movement Speed - Yes
- HP/MP Lock - No
- Instant Skills - No
- Hacking Stat Points/Levels - No
- Hacking Skill Points/Levels - Not yet attempted.

hmm...actually that atk spd and Mspd doestn really works..i try change the Mspd and atk spd and it only works on ur pc but not on server..for example, i increase my atk spd and only few of my atk hit the enemy and most of them miss..thats becoz server have already calculate how many atk spd u have...and for Mspd, server actually cant follow that kind of speed and u cant move after u run like uber fast..it only work for the portal to other map..thats all i know of what i've been try..

There are several hacks, there was one where you just had to edit the lua.dll to allow custom script and you could make your own quests with rewards meaning you could be lvl250 with 1billion with one click... This got patched however, but theres still more to exploit.

BTW - change the detect timer to 2 seconds, give it a go.

oh gosh, this is pretty sad, using tsearch?
sure tsearch is fine but it's only the first step

Ill answer some questions that some ppl tried to clear up but nobody payed heed
Basically editing mspeed via tsearch as some ppl have said only look like it. This is because the server all ready has your real mspeed and all it take from you is the direction and it calculates it for you. The way you can reset the servers location of you to where your comp shows is by either picking up an item or going through a gate

As for atk speed the reason why you are missing so much is because all battle calculations are done server side so only the real hits you would normally make appear as “hits” and deal damage.

Also for packet editors, you guys are doing fine the reason your getting disconnected is b/c these are your packets Rose seems to have a defense against this so you have to edit some files so your packets will be accepted. Think that’s a nice tip.

And yes there was a gem hack(not exploit), (patched) and not the luna one either this was where you get ass loads of gems. There was also a quest hack(not exploit) where you can edit quest items etc.. so therefore you can instantaneously get quest items and finish quest from anywhere and restart. In the beginning of Rose there was a file which u edited you can edit your level. Cant believe Rose Devs forgot this but it was updated second week or so. Then there is the buy for free from NPC. All of these have been patched, but don’t give up hope, by editing packets you can make a slower method or even outdo me and make a new one. :P sry I wish I could post some hax but my team told me not too.

But just letting you know they are out there

also, about that bot yo guys are using php? the php evo is coming up, however it is detectable guys so be warned. I doubt they will check for it but it is detectable... You could wait for the java bot Johnny is making if you want to be uber safe.

Also, in order to maximize the Bots power for finding monsters do what instructions say, change the darn skins and also you might want to wire the other stuff or make the scenery completely a differnt color, and zoom hack works wonders for this.

Calling socks functions from a debugger seems extremely unnecessary when you can use a packet sender like Etherpeek. Also, recording packets with a debugger could be somewhat tricky ;)

agreed, it's stupid, but I was just trying to prove that saying a debugger can't send packets isn't correct - as long as the program you are debugging can do it

also, the whole point about using a debugger with rose is that the packets are encrypted, and unless you want to go through the pain of decrypting, editing and reencrypting, it's just way faster and easier to edit the packet buffer in memory before it gets to the encryption routine

I've done a few packet hacks in my days and i must say that it's a pain compared to finding loopholes in the code enabling you to create simple memory hacks.
I've created hacks for MMORPGs that enables you to: walk on water, become invisible to PCs and NPCs, resist certain spells/attacks, fly, teleport, run faster etc. ONLY by altering your own memory.
Trying to change gold or exp is usually very hard anyays since those are things calculated by the server and you never see that code.

So my suggestion is that you try to find these loopholes since i know there are alot of them in every game that's released. :)

I didn´t think you could do much in Rose online except for maybe a speed hack and some visual stuff (like change your character´s appearance to you only) because everything is serverside, isn´t it?

Packet botting(kore) = very hard and takes a very long time to code. Pixel botting = easy as eating pie you can even make one yourself. BTW you can dupe in pROSE pls dont pm i dont know how :laugh:

w00t w00t! I dont know if this bug (not hack) has been discovered yet.

This bug is for Hawkers only.

1.) Click a place where you want to go.
2.) Use the "Sprint" skill
3.) While your character is jumping, press tab
4.) You should be walking with dirt on your shoes.
5.) press tab again and you'll be running faster!

Another one for all jobs:
1.) Sit
2.) Click a place where you want to go.
3.) Press tab before your character can fully stand
4.) Press tab again and your character will be running fast if done successfully

t search and gc has been patched in prose. so i guess editing values is regarding mspeed and aspeed is impossible but i will try to find bypass for it since nprotect detects tsearch and gc... :sleep: i will post again if i bypass it thank u... :devious:

Ok i help you ill give you few tips 1st there are semi clientsided things in the game that is the NPC's but is encrypted with 8-bit XOR encryption so dont expect me to give you a free decrypter our team worked hard on that. 2nd you can get new hairs and face(yes additional hairs and faces) you can even make your char appear headless and yeah it's serverside others can see your new hairs and face just by editing your rose client amazing isnt it?

Ever wondered what's inside those .vfs files? You can get a .vfs extractor at http://rose.snipah.com/ from there try to exploit the game urself. I cant help you with the botting thing cause i dont bot and never will. Also I can't help you directly by making and distributing hacks i dont like that thing i can only give you some helpful tips sorry.

Here is my Suggestion:

Everybody shuts up for now.
For some reason you people dont get it, no-one has a hack yet.
Anyone that is creating one, a hack bot or whatever sould use this post to share his er progress (allthough i think thats not clever to do because then people start whining again) and post possible files.

Its no use to ASK about hacks here, wait till there are, atleast you know they will be posted here.

And btw one more thing, if i where deadbeef and i was trying to get a hack i wouldnt even consider sharing it after all this whining.
My point, be pacient, give people the time to create them and IF they wanna share you'll notice, annoying em wont help them work faster ;)

Im just going to sit and wait see if anything gets developped, because i dont have the skills to make em myself.

Meenwhile, play ROSE a bit without cheats, its still a good game to play.:D

Wow lmao......all this begging and repeatdly they are warned and then more beggers come. Why, because they don't flippin read all the posts befor them like the rest of us. Can begging warnings plz be more volitile? Like 2x the warn or a day ban or something :angry: . On the side note im a new guy to all this packet editing and such. Hell i can memory edit up the bum (very ez in halflife2 to get like inf main clip ammo.....as well with all singleplay games and such). Memory editing is completely useless for Rose Online. At best as EVERYONE befor me has repeatdly said, packet editing is the best bet (trying to trick the server etc). Please no more begging. On that note im seeking guidance or a link to a guide for newb hackers like me :knockedou . The only way to get more help hacking a game is to point a freshy to the source of knowledge so you get more hacker friends/helpers/team members :laugh: .
