Hmmm i have XP too but i havn't tried it, try updating your drivers or downloading the newest version of DirectX or do both! I hope this helps.

well.. the problem, as i suspected, was DirectX once again... turn off the hardware sound acceleration in dxdiag

hmmm i only watched a friend play a demo of it for a short while. I'm starting to think its a much better game. Maybe i'll get it in the near future.

Geez.. just now getting into UT? Been playing that game for damned near... 5 years now. Can't wait for the full unleashing of UT2k3!

As for the subject.. I dunno about DirectX probs.. I've never experianced any in XP.. But I have had UT crash a few times. If you're hellbound, like myself to keep OpenGL.. I suggest getting the latest OpenGL renderer.. but I can't for the life of me remember the website it's on. I'll attach it. It also cures mouse\keyboard lockups.

Umm.. maybe try messing around in preferences as well (open console, type in "preferences") As long as all drivers and other stuff is current.. your GTS *should* be working smoothly w/ UT.

Hope this helps some..

Btw, this file goes to %Systemroot&:\UnrealTournament\System.
