Trainer Problem

I've tried every single trainer, and none of them work. I have no clue why not. I press the keys, nothing changes. I reinstall the trainer, try to get another one, and nothing works still .

I don't know if my version of half-life 2 is old or not, but shouldnt steam update it by itself?

My virus scanner ate that file because it detected it as a BackDoor-ACH Trojan.

You may want to check youselves before downloading it. I am using McAfee AV.
