How do you read a rar. file?

I was wondering how the F do u read a rar. file. Everytime i open one it is a whole bunch of different characters instead of normal letters and words. Please someone tell me how to read a rar. file. It would be very helpful.

Show some respect for the mods b00n. And you can't read a rar file, it's a zipping method not a file you can read. Maybe your talking about a pk3 inside of it or something? If so just right click the file and go to open with> rar and it should open it up.
