help... yesterday when i was doing a speed hack this one guy named OI2PH3N saw me and he said your gonna regret that and he invited me into a chat and his chat name was {Wizet GM} then he said give me one reason i shouldnt ban you ... blah ... blah......... blah... Could you tell me if he is the real thing?

I think its the real deal because I don't think its possible to change your name when you are in the chat room. You should've taken a screenshot and posted it so we could see.

He probably used a name spoof hack. It doesnt change his at the bottom of his character, but only when u in chat or talk to ur friends.

I've seem GMs in black, there are tons of undercover GMs now-a-days.... they go to botting places undercover n then ban peoples....

hmm i dunno i actually spoke with a gm but not thru maple messenger i used the whisper thing his name is gm10 i think the official gms are like gm# so its most likely a hoax

oh yeah and gms are invisible i believe perhaps it was someone hired by maple but not part of maple they doing all sorts of stuff nowadays i think he was idependent of maple

Change ur Name
---Cheat Engine Tutorial---
Open Maple, get into your character, then open CE.

Click Open Proccess and select Maplestory.

Click 'Value type', select 'Text', then type in your character's EXACT, CASE-SENSITIVE name into the 'Value:' box.

Click 'First Scan'.

In a while, you should have some addresses in the box on the left, all with your name on it. Disregard all of them that don't, t'was a glitch, I say!

Highlight an address (Ctrl + click for multiples) and press the red diagonal arrow to put them in the box on the bottom.

Then, check the 'Frozen' box on every one, and double-click the 'Value' field.

Put in your desired name. DON'T use anything over 15 letters or so! Note you can use any symbol MS recognizes in chat, not just in char creation.

Click ok, if you get the 'Not same size' box, click OK, if it asks something like ''Add a '0'-terminator to the end?'' Click OK as well, otherwise whatever was there before will not be completely overwritten.

I.E, my name is BlahBlah. I change it to Hack without adding a 0-terminator. My name will end up as HackBlah sometimes.

Repeat the process for every address with your real name and change maps.

Namespoof allows you to speak with a different (and uncensored) name in:

Buddy Chat
Party Chat
Maple Messenger
Did I mention those things will be seen by OTHER people as well?!

It also changes your name in the bottom of the screen, stats window and party window

that orph3n guy talked to my friend when i was at his house and told him he was gm blah lbah blah and that he was asking if anyone has been botting or cheating around here blah blah blah and then asked if my friend wanted anything so my buddy asked like what? then he said he couldnt give items away because it was against his contract but he could upgrade his items with scrolls. I told my buddy people can name spoof and to be careful so he only gave him some weight earings the supposed gm told him he had to give all his items he wanted (sounded skeptical) so he gave him weight earrings and he left with his earrings

They used that to trick people in beta.

A dude would hack his name to Wizet GM, go up to someone strong and ask to see their weapon because they think it's bugged- then they ran off.

Iunno.. I had my 50 mage banned yesterday by some chick that was 52, bowman, and following me around. Said I should stop hacking, and then boom, DC'd, Banned. -_-

I'd start taking advice from some peoples, even if their randoms.
Oh, and the name of the Mage was Nakurai, just in case you ever saw it =P
