[RELEASE]Highly Modified Swat4 Inis V3 | 04.02.2005
Dear SWAT4 gamers,
And again it was time to upload the newest version of my highly modified inis. This time with handcuffing, and using tools from everywhere + instant, powered-up flashlights, and instant equipping... :D
SWAT 4 Modified Inis Version 3.03 featuring:
Instant weapon equipping/unequipping *NEW*
- Just as fast as Lucky Luke... (also goes for nades)
Empowered flashlights *NEW*
- Flashlights shine MUCH brighter
Handcuffing from everywhere
- Cuff from anywhere within no time (hold the action key for cuffing, for you wont see a progress bar or animation...)
- Instant Handcuffing
Using tools from everywhere
- Use ur tools from every position, freeing the VIP, too...
- Instant equip/unequip of tools
Instant Tools
- It takes no second to deploy C2, Wedge; or using Optiwand, etc... (hold down the action key, for you wont see any progress bar or animations for e.g. deploying C2 anymore...)
New weapons
- I unlocked both the Ak47, and the UZI :D
Opening doors from far away
- Open doors from where ever you want and when you want, no matter how far or close you are
Perfect aim (this time for real) *REVISED*
- No debug aiming anymore; altered aimerrors for every weapon now guaranteeing perfect aiming.
No recoil
- Well, no recoil...
Bullet traces
- Draws bullet traces on screen, so that you can see who is hitting you.
Instant Pawn Animations
- Instant Lean
Modified weapons *REVISED*
- Larger magazine size for Shotguns (seems to work for UZI, too)
- No reload times
- Instant equip/unequip *REVISED*
- Instant Zoom
- Flashlights for every weapon
Shoot through glass
- Now you are able to shoot through glass, even with a Taser, or Non-Lethal-Shotgun...
Added possibility to choose no weapon, or no Equipment
- Added the opportunity to choose no weapon, or no pistol, or even no equipment, ... might be useless...; or just to show off that you use a hacked Swat4, and running thru the levels without weapons lol [dunno if they see it the same way you have choosen the equipment...]
Upcoming release:
- Adding all ammunition types for every weapon
- No stun visual effects when hit by a flashbang, sting or whatever

Is there some type of glitch when using this? I seem to be emptying entire clips into people and they don't die. At first I thought it was lag but then i noticed it happens all the time. Also, the instant tools thing doesnt work and instant handcuffing doesnt work either. As a matter of fact, the handcuffs dont work at all anymore :(.

The reason is because the devs have hard coded anti-cheat measures right into the game.
If the game detects multiple hits in the exact same area, the game ignores them. I have noticed that it seems if the game detects you 'violate' that over and over, it ignores all your shots from then on. Still working on a fix, but for now, I have added very minor recoil...less than 0.01. that helps a LOT.

What weapon did you use? Might be that the HK wont work...
Instant tools do work, just keep pushing the button, same with handcuffs, you wont see a progress bar, or real animations anymore. It shud work.

I dont agree. There is no anti-cheat protection included in the beta demo release in the moment. Shooting at exact the same place (without debug aiming) works perfectly. Killed all enemies with the UZI, which is damn deadly, and damn fast, especially if you use it as sniper-like weapon :D

Bah everything works great but I cannot handcuff eaither...
I have also added a few features that I plan on releasing soon...
(Including Freeing VIP From Far Away and using Tools From Far Away!!!)
Junfan can u tell me the file and line you changed for the instant hand cuffing please... I would like to play around with it some. :-D

When I find the time I will maybe release a modified SwatGame.u w/ some features like not effected by stinging, electricity, gas etc :). Now we just need to convert an engine hack from maybe ReniBot source. Anyone up for the job?

the ak47 could be good but it still isnt good in killing i think bc of that perfect aim bc now i modified it like somebody sayed in one of the 2 threats about swat in here and now it works.
what is this muzzle velocitie doing? what happens if u change that?
oh and fast weapon changing also would be cool, bc now it always needs 1-2 seconds.
Oh now i thought on 2 more features: nice full body chams for both teams so u can see easier who u have to kill and different colored tracers same coulors like chams would be nice.

Thx alot jun, Really having alot of fun with this. Im also having trouble cuffing ppl about half the time, it gos into animation then stops. UIsually only happens up close not sure yet. Ive been up all night I'll work on cuffing more tomorrow. Real nice job man.
edit: I must have been tired cuz I can handcuff fine. I didnt read anywhere on there that when your arrested as vip you can still use your weapon or at least i could, admin started cracking up when i kept beanbagging him while cuffed.... it could be that it was a modded server because the vip could use whateva weapon u started with not sure, weird but fun. And i know teh other vips didnt have or could use a weapon while cuffed. Real impressed :) edit: It must have been just that server or a weird ass beta bug but i know its possible. man g00d times.

so i puted now all Ammotypes of the Shotguns to the Ak47 and i only can say thats really cool bc one of them is very strong it kills really fast. Only bad thing is that u only got 31 bullets is it possible to change that? I think that must be possible in that file where the options of the Ammo are saved but which file is that?
Oh and i cant activate other weapons like Ingram Mac10 and so on can somebody again write a tut how to do that?

PS: what dirty toldtheire with the vip that he can shot while he is cuffed isnt really working for me i only see my Hand always but without any weapon which i also can use. But that would be a really nice feature. :devious:
Oh and i just found this for all ppl who are interrested in cheating in the full version later.
The Developers of SWAT 4 were kind enough to answer some questions regarding SWAT 4 and cheating. I want to take this opportunity to thank Chris Kline Lead Developer for Irrational Games and Gregory Agius Interactive Marketing Specialist at Vivendi Universal Games. Below are the details of our conversation:
Can the developers in general terms give us their view on cheating in SWAT 4?
Chris Kline: Cheating is for sissies. Seriously though, it's impossible to prevent cheating completely -- every game out on the market has cheaters, and no matter how often you patch, cheaters will find a way around it eventually. Despite that, we've tried to design the game in such a way as to make it harder to cheat.
Can you tell us what anti-cheating components (in general) will be in the production release that are not in the beta?
Chris Kline: The Vengeance Engine and SWAT 4 in particular attempt to prevent cheating in a number of ways:
System Design.
The server is always the authority on gameplay-relevant events. For example, a client might hack his version of the game to give himself perfect accuracy or infinite ammo or double-damage ammo. However, when he shoots the bullet trajectories, ammo availability checks, and damage will all be calculated using the server's settings, so his hacks will have no effect on the game. This design philosophy extends to all systems in the game (e.g. scoring, player movement, destructible objects, etc.)
Binary content validation.
All textures, sound, code (native and script), etc are checksummed, and when a client connects to a server he will not be allowed to connect if his code or content differs from the versions that the server is using.
INI file validation.
To facilitate easy modding, a huge amount of game configuration data is present in text-editable INI files. We have implemented a validation system for INI files that is similar to the one used for binary content; if a player tries to connect to a server and their INI files do not match, then that player will not be allowed to connect. (Note: INI file validation was not implemented in time to make it into the MP Demo, unfortunately).
Kicking and Kickbanning of specific players.
Server admins will be able to kick players out of a game temporarily using the console command "kick PlayerName". They can also permanently block players from a particular IP address by typing "kickban PLAYERNAME". When someone is kickbanned, their IP address goes into a banned IP list in Swat4.in (or Swat4DedicatedServer.ini), in the [Engine.AccessControl] section. You can un-ban someone by removing their IP from the list in that section of the file.
Are there plans for an anti-cheat program such, as PunkBuster, after the initial release of the game. Note: There is a rumor that many people are talking about that PunkBuster is being added to Tribes Vengeance.
Chris Kline: There are currently no plans to incorporate any third-party anti-cheating technology into SWAT 4. Any plans to do so would have to be initiated by VUG.
What can the community expect from the game or the developers in the way of updates to keep the game cheat free?
Chris Kline: The decision to patch is always a publisher decision. That being said, Irrational Games and VUG both want to have a great game with minimal cheating. If problems arise after the game is on the shelves, we'll have to sit down together to examine the severity of the problem and determine how to address it.

All the more reason for someone to convert a console engine .u hack for Swat 4 if .ini mod's will be stopped.
This also explains why emptying entire clips into people sometimes all bullets miss.

In .u Hack I meant an Engine Hack. Check this thread. It has a tutorial on how to compile the .u hack. http://www.mpcforum.com/showthread.php?t=75562&highlight=renibot+source It includes the sourcecode to a bot for AmericasArmy which also uses the unreal engine. If the dev department planse to build in features to stop people from modifying .ini files I don't see why they wouldn't also add hash checking to the system .u files. If they do plan on doing hash checks on .u files a .u engine hack would work perfectly. The protection for .u files can be bypassed Humm3r has a very effective method of getting around check of the .u files.
If you would like to modify they .u files for the game, here is a tutorial. In the tutorial it asks for:
1) AAOM 1.5
2) AAOM XML 2.1
3) UTPT 2.0 B5
Since this was designed for AAO, skip AAOM and AAOMxml. Just get UTPT. When it says put things into AAOM Xml in the tutorial you must make the modifications w/ a hex editor directly to the .u file. Most of the available modifications for the game are in. SwatGame.u Located in /System/ folder.

Hi Surfrider, I will soon delete the ini attachment and upload a new one, for I did some serious testing with my friend and the results were terrible!
E.g. it is *NOT* possible to enable Perfect Aim with the Inis. It is only a client-side effect that YOU only see (doesnt matter if you only enable debug_aiming or edit every single aimerror -> the result is the same), that is why you sometimes just dont hit. Only the recoilmagnitude does work in reality, but nothing else.
So congrats to everyone that killed ppl over ppl, you are in reality a very good player :D
Moreover, about the "I-empty-thousands-of-magazines" issue: This happens because I accelerated the Reload animations, and then after having seen the accelerated animation you oftentimes do begin to shoot - to no avail: for in reality you aint shooting, but still reloading your gun.
Same with equipping the weapons with different ammo. Its useless. For testing purposes I gave the VIP pistol sniper ammo. Well I had 8 non-lethal bullets, I cud fire, then I cudnt reload... but I still cud see myself in 1st person shooting. But not the other one... effectless.

About the cuffing-bug: this, indeed, depicts a SWAT4 bug, which is not being caused by the modified inis, though you can cuff, and free ppl from everywhere with them. And here is how the bug works, for there r 2 types:
#1 To make the VIP use its pistol, Pepper Spray, and everything else just do the following:
Start cuffing, stop cuffing, immediately start again.
#2 To make the VIP unmovable, unfreeable and unkillable (!):
2 ppl, with the modified inis, begin to start cuffing the VIP at the same time, until the VIP is cuffed. After that, he can neither move, get killed, nor freed.

P.S. I am of the opinion that its not very wise to start hacking the .u's now. I would rather wait until the full-version has been released, and then begin hacking them... - The demo isnt worth the work, yet - but the full-version is.

PS: the ammo change i think is working bc when i used the shotgun bullets in the ak47 i killed much better on shot ditances but how i said i only got 31 bullets.

I agree that the perfect accuracy doesn't work. It is very irritating because you can't see what is really happening to your player.
Moreover, about the "I-empty-thousands-of-magazines" issue: This happens because I accelerated the Reload animations, and then after having seen the accelerated animation you oftentimes do begin to shoot - to no avail: for in reality you aint shooting, but still reloading your gun.This makes a lot of sense. It really messes up my game sometimes because of useless bullets. Bad thing is you still lose the bullets they just don't hit anything.
I think that it is not perfect though. If I fire bullets one at a time sometimes they do hit target sometimes even when you shouldn't be able to fire. I could be wrong though.

anyone know a way to make you say something when you throw a granade or anyting?
like.. when i throw a stinger granade i automaticly say in team chat " watch out im thowing a stinger" or when i reload and press "r" ill say "cover me im reloading"
is it a script that would do that or something in the ini?

I am not sure what the console command is, but you could try open user.ini and enter something like key=reload | say I am reloading
I am not sure if it is say, maybe message? Just test it.

Hi Guys, just a stupid question: why is the Game so slow?,I mean is it Lag or is it normal?, are they planning to make it faster abit? any1 knows?
instant weapon and instant stuff makes u sorta lagg in multiplayer the other guys still see u doing every thing the slow way and while they are seeing that if in ur view u are shooting them but in there view u are still reloading or switching weapons well all your bullits will miss . so these kind of mods are harming us not helping they are fooling your timing. very few work the rest are just for fun i guess.

This is unbelievable I made a modded ini pack a couple days ago with almost the exact stuff in it I only got to wait on another guy, he gonna put some more stuff in it. And your download link doesn't work!
