I need help with something.... Everytime I start up AA, I dont have a console button, for some reason, its not the usual tilde key and I cant set the console in the control settings... I'm not good with all those system files and stuff... Can anyone explain how to set the console button as a different key?? Thanks.

U arent using a .u bot? Because some of them have this problem.
If you arent you should open your user.ini and see if this line is in it:
Tilde=Console

U can also set the console on another key, just find a key that isnt set: <key>=Console.

Well I'm using the "UHide" hack... Are my controls in the "DefUser" file under the system folder?? If not, I dont know where to find em... I just play the game, I really really suck with the technical stuff...lol

Your controls are in: ..\America's Army\System\User.ini.
But if u have Uhide, u probably have humm3rbot too, or not?
It is a known problem with humm3rbot that u cant use your tilde key, dont know if there is a solution for it.

U can just use the tab key, think that should still work.


The bot has a separate key event handling, and that disturbes some keyboard functionality. It was introduced in ReniBot for 'Can Always Fire' , and its used now in Humm3rBot for TriggerBot, CanAlwaysFire, Auto-Healing and RemoteObjectives. I hope that gaining these eclipses the loss of radio command and console not showing directly from menu. ;-)

I tried that. Tab wasnt set as anything then I typed Console so it looked like "Tab=Console".... it's still not working...I'm an *****...lol :confused:

The tab key should be:
Tab=Type :P

You could also try to run cleaner.exe (..\America's Army\System\Cleaner.exe)
This will reset your user.ini.

Open your User.ini and search for:
Tab
Now make sure the whole line its on says:
Tab=Type

Now search for:
Tilde
Now make sure the whole line its on says:
Tilde=Console

euhh, you know what , just reinstall aa again , not much work and problem solved
