This site has it all on making a Jap Account for Maple Story. Although it only has changing the language for Windows XP.

-Go to http://gameweb.nexon.co.jp/maplestory/download/down_01.shtml and download both clients

- Go to http://www.nexon.co.jp/JP/Page/NX.a...istid_agreement and create a Nexon Account

- Go to http://jms.cjb.net/ and follow instructions on how to change your language to Jap, ect. . .

- Go to http://entry.maplestory.jp/ and make a Jap MS Account

the links r all messed up. the client downlaod doesnt work, u cant register for a nexon id cuz it takes u to hte page where u create a maple id automatically. can u please fix this? im downloading jms again and i dont want it to be all for nothing

I made a account a long time ago with Jms. The sad thing is, I couldnt play it! Everytime I got into the game (where u 1st start, the little island) it would kick me out in a couple seconds. Like I was to far from the server and was timing out. I got a awsome connection but guess that wasnt good enuff. :(

well so far yeha. the bad thing is its in jap. like when the global comes out with all the jms features then the global will b better ofcourse. ppl r just 2 lazy to go thru the process to create and account in jms and to downlaod it. im still doing it cuz i realy wana play jms.

When I try registering for an account, I get this message after I hit accept on the 3rd step. After I get it, it send me back to the 3rd step...

An XP computer? Never heard of one. My operating system is Windows XP, though. :P

There's just nothing between Italian and Kazkah in my drop down list... I have no idea where Japanese went to. :|

2. I click "Regional and Language Options"

When I click this, there is no "Advanced" tab!

okay.... since more global players are joining jms.... i'd just like to say that I hope global players RESPECT the rules of playin in jms... i have been playing there for a while and have never seen any kind of hackers or botters in that game. while i appreciate tutorials of making a jms account, i HOPE that jms wont block global ip addresses just because some botters or hackers are found. nowadays global ms has taken steps to fight hackers and botters, but jms placed trust in the japanese people to play fair and square. so please, if you're registering for jms..... u better play by the rules man............. dats all i have to say.
btw , nice tut......... appreciate what you're doin (as long as it wont invite hackers to the game :P)

I have the game running, but there's a small problem I encountered when making a character...

There's no hair color select button. Two of the hair styles are brown, and the one I want is orange. Is there no way to fix this?

I've joined JMS for a long time, no JMS people cheat. I highly suggest not hacking or botting as the JMS people are kinder people and the GMs seem to be banning lots of english people, for a) botting/hacking and b) talking english in all talk. Yes you get banned for talking english in all talk, and yes they catch hackers and botters very fast so don't try.

i can't find the jap on the list at the advance part.

when i wanna get it , it needs a disc.
I tried going to get it off microsoft web but it needs disc too after i try to install.

Anyone got a way around this to get the jap selection at the advance tab without needing the windows disc?

P.s. no i dun have the disc.

well ur supposed 2 have the windows cd. unless u burned it or someone istalled it for you, which is sorta illegal, i think.

or maybe u just lost it. =)

You can go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=24A66277-CD9F-4332-A6F1-52B85A6470BD&displaylang=EN to download the language pack. The link has not been confirmed but give it a try and tell me if it works

Hay all just to remind u of internet ed i cut (i know i misspell it so leave me alone). Especially in JMS cause in JMs they can banned all americans account. Dont Cheat, Bot or anything illigal. They ban too. If u bot, they wait till u high lvl and reset your charater. Also dont talk in english too much, atleast not in the open they dislike americans if ther is too many english speaking ppl they will ban all IP from american and that will suck. if u need help creat a thread that have all american ppl playing in jms so u can trade among each other unless u speak and type japanese.

go to www.maplestory.com and click japanese and goto donwload in little letters under neather the the japanese ones meaning download on the green top banner then click the right>> download NOT the left vCDS one after open it and press next next blah blah blah lolz... then follow the rest of the instructions on jms.cjb.net

if u need japanese codes to run the client, go to control panel
the regoinal settings thingy, tick install eas asian languages or usmtin, then click ok

it should ask for your windows xp cd and install the japanese language pack
then go to the languages tab and select japanese, restart pc and taddaaa
u can play jms

Dude, we keep saying that we NEED a cd and we DONT have it. Dont keep saying the same thing about clicking the regional settings and install asian languages because some of us do not have the disk. The guys who keep telling us to read the other posts, I do read the posts and STILL have not found a solution to installing japanese language without the cd....

my fwen created my jms acct for me >.<
but for the downloading part, download the .exe (on the right) is enuff =)
theres no need to download the one on the left or the one that pops up automatically...

at least dats the case for me =)

u can add it in -.-
theres a little checkbox dat says "install east asian language pack"

and the cd is winxp cd... unless u dont have the cd...

Forget what I said above now I want to change the language to japanese but when I try it said I need a file of Windows that I dont have, so I wanna ask if there is another way or if someone can send me a copy of the file. The name of the file is: c_10001.nls. The type of file is: c_10001.nls;c_10001.nl_

I cant freaking make a nexon account.....there's this one field that says some sh** in japanese and it wont let me type in it....i think its the resedental one...im not sure ....and then when i click to continue it tells me to fill it out...WTF! I know this becuase the little symbols written on the warning message are the sames ones on the field i cant fill....lol.

Any help is well appriciated....and ive already changed the language, downloaded the client and all that...thanx again!

I want to register for jms, but I can register for the Nexon account. I believe that they changed the registration form to a different one than the one the tutorial uses. If someone can please post a new one, that would be great.

about ure jms tutorial, i dont have japanese in my droplist in region and settigns or w/e. and i dont have the win xp nor can i get it from a frend/manufacture..

is there a way u can upload the files needed to run jms or upload win xp onto yousendit.com or any hosting site so i can download it? or is jms out of the question now :[

=D Ok so I'm a day and forever late (sees all posts from 2yrs ago) I have sorta read this section over. I was wondereing, because I have run across the (only excuted in Japanese code-page) thingy. I've changed the language over to japanese, but it still pops up. I tried going thru Run as... and the GG came on like GMS, then it went to something in Japanese and didn't start. So I restarted the cpu, tried to open the game, but it still goes to the code-page thing. I'm lost, cuz I'm looking at the language bar right now and its in Japanese, but the game won't run. Am I out of range?? (USA,Michigan) or is there something else? If You can help, it'd greatly be appreciated.
