n00b question: how to change ID?

Sorry guys for the n00b question, but how do I change an items ID? SOmeone told me you could do this blessing, souling and then failing, but Im not so sure... Anyway, I tried the forum search, but I cant get it to work, just sends me to a broken link page... i´d apreciate some help here please, thanx

there is no way of changing any item's id..

Well bad new, that someone is lie to ya, the only way to change or modified item id is from the local server and only admin can do it.

Not even all admins can do it, it's hard to do, basicly you need to go through sql tables

The only reason would be if you where duping, in that case just sell it / buy back another one

yea you can do that, or if your duping cause you dont want to lose an item during chaos machine, just destroy it after a success...

Yeah if you actualy destroy it you will be better off than selling it

By destroying it I mean putting it in your vault and overwriting your vault with a blank one... literaly DISTROYING the item

or if you cant do that, just throw the items to destroy in chaos machine and DC from the game, all items in the Machine will be destroied... no trace...
