However, I doubt that there will be any hacks created at the moment, since the only thing available of the game are some beta weekend events every month.
When the game gets released I'm sure there will be some hacks for it eventually.

I have a feeling as soon as someone decrypts the .dat files it puts on your computer you will be able to edit anything in a zone. Especially since when you leve a town your only partially connected to the server.

hmmm then it isnt that hard... to give a key to ppl they need a generator... lots of ppl will get keys so its automated generator that means that the generator is on their site... that means we can steal it and make keys ;) it shouldnt be very legal but who cares?

There sd-key system seems pretty solid. I'm looking into things and seeing what is serverside and what is clientside. GOnna test any speed hacks and such as well.

Its an online game, which means 1 CD key can be used at a time. And talking about key generators is illegal and against rules here and you can get warned/banned for it.

I don't really know if you need hacks for this game, it's so damn easy. Level 20 in a few days, best armor and weapons... But it would be cool just because hacking is taboo and we all know who loves taboo... everyone... >:)

The game isnt about leveling and getting good armor, its the questing system like it says on the box... PVP characters acctually start at max level, and you cant really hack the quest system, that would just take the whole point out of the game :S

What I think is that It JUST might be client side only becuase You have the DAT file, and When you go outside of towns and quest your either with your party and or by ur self I know i might be wrong but I havent checked into it... Anyways Hacks and Bots will come just wait and be patient in the mean time Friggin level the legit way :P

this games way to easy to level up and get cash in, its all about questing and PVP

to hack it would be a waste of time, the game was designed ffrom the ground up to provide pvp and questing, in an way to limit hacks cracks and ebaying items

This game isn't "easy" so stop being a noob and saying it. If this is your first MMORPG then good luck and get used to be confused. There will always be something you are 10 steps behind in. I have "beaten" this game twice [two seperate] Characters[This means that i beat all the missions that this edition of the game has].

This game is based mainly on PvP, Guilds, and Missioning/Questing. LvL plays an important role and so do runes. This game is non-hackable. There are very few things that are "clientside" and aren't checked. This is because this game uses a new type of Arch.

So it is definetely hackable (and it should be, no ORPG is complete without it :D)

Guild Wars is a good game, I agree. I have also completed it (Me/Ne) and have 3 other characters on their way, hehe, so the replayability is really good :D

I'm not sure about that, as for all the skills you either have to buy from a NPC or do a mission, so they are probably triggered server side.

i have ascended and changed my secondary profession 3 times and now i have no skill points left to buy skills for my latest class change, as well the quests are all finished so i cant get skills that way...skill point hack = solution...

Just because you have to buy them doesnt mean they are server side.. there are so many skills that setting them up for each player in a database would be consuming.. so what I am thinking is that when you buy them it just opens up a clientside database saying you can use this skill now... because even on the PvP server you can only use skills you unlock.. and the thing loads immediatly.. so i believe it is client side

Yeah that would be nice =D I hope ppl are figuring out how to hack this game xD. If cash hack won't be possible then a trade hacker or everything for 1 gold at storage would be very helpful. But if gw devs don't supose to find out we hack gw, then we need some kind of protection right? Like sending some kodes to the servers as hlh 8.5.05 does for Counter-strike: Source.

i have read about gold glitches in the game where an area gives you 500 gold each time. i also read about a 1,000 gold glitch. does anyone know where these would be located at?

something that will probably work is disabling collisions with mountains and the like
so you can just wal through them, and the server will allow you to do so, I know that because there's this nasty glitch where henchmen run to the place they died after respawning, and they go through everything
and when they get there they get killed again, so you can probably do the same to quickly run through zones without fighting monsters, or better yet to farm chests at high level locations

also it might be possible to toy around with walls, like trying to attack from behind a wall (normally it will say the way is blocked, but I highly doubt the server checks if there's a wall between your coordinates and the monster's coordinates, that might be handled by the client and thus hackable)

It would be of benefeit to the community if somone were to come a cross a bot for this game and was to post it here! We would all appreciate it. I'm sure you could do it with macros...
you can make a macro for this game without even trying
tab, space, spam skills, click to go forwards in the map, rinse and repeat

but it won't be much efficient anyways, not a even a bot would work too well cause you get raped by monsters if you're not very careful, and bot makers don't make very good AI's most of the time, because in most games, if you got the level you can kill that

also, getting to level 20 is a matter of a day or two, so a bot would only be useful if it could farm high level monsters with good strategies

i wonder who is actualy stupid enough to release a hack for GW publicly... GW's streaming technology gives them the power to patch a hack within hours... plus i dont see any point of making hacks for this game, everything is so easy to get (with the exception of skill points)

the skill u are talking about is Mark of Protection {Elite} but this skill last 10 sec... and he used NO SKILLS... and all his groupmates was dead... so...

And some days ago... some players reported a player that are casting all skills Instantly.. his groupmates report him... and he was banned... so... thats hacks exist...

Download it and upload it on this site =D "http://virusscan.jotti.org/" and then it will scan it. You should know, Theres a sticky thread about it=P... But don't open the file! Just upload it. Else you will get effected by the trojan, if it is a trojan=D

I really think hacking this game would take some of the joy out of it. It's not everyday a game comes along like this that is just so fun to play, that if you even thought about cheating you'd hang yer head in shame. hehehe

Nah but seriously... money would be nice... but those hard to find crafting items would be better. If there was a generate item hack that'd kick ass. It takes soooo long to round up the materials. :)

Oh an btw, in case no one else figured it out, our friend from above, HeyGuy, is a bot. And someone deliberately placed him here so that we'd download something that would mess with our account/pc! Damn bots and damn trojans! Damn them ALL!!! :laugh:

The game is great, i agree, but unless someone comes up with a hack/cheat or discussions about how to hack this game, it will remain unsticked.

Not really. I am not an AC - I dispise ACs because of their **** like behavior. In fact, the only games that really dont allow hacking is MMORPGs. Hacking is just a form of modding - and no one really cares about that.

But if you read the GW user agreement it says you arent alloud to mod the game, or cheat. Therefore rendering it illegal and putting it in the same catogory as WaReZ.

The only reason I posted that was because I care about the cheating community, and I dont want to see anyone get in legal trouble with Arenanet.

That post had nothing to do with not liking cheaters, or being part of the ACs. I was mearly making a sugjestion, do to the strict nature of the developer and publisher (or whatever they are called)

I make hacks for RavenShield, and I assure you I am in no way connected with the ACs.

When you install and play a modern game, you often agree to an "End user licence agreement". This agreement pretty much tells you what you can't do with the game in order to sustain all the benefits of your purchase (like an online account, support etc.).
If you break this agreement you will not necessarily have broken a law, but more of a rule.
If you hack a game by changeing code injected to your memory (a comon hack) you will not get in legal problems since you never alter the game/code itself.
However, changeing the program itself by altering and recompiling it will fall under copyright breach, also known as cracking/warez.

In brief, don't confuse LAW with EULA.

Guild Wars hack are real easy to make.. i think :)
Cause i will tell you:
Guild Wars is kinda Singleplayer in Multiplayer
Because you can walk on youre own in Guild Wars or you can make a party in a safe place (town, village, etc.) If you don't have a party and you enter a area with monsters you don't see Online players only NPC. So i think that it's Client Side if you make a 1 kill hit, because there are no players if you don't make a party.
But the strange thing about Guild Wars is this:
The game only contains 3 files! YES.. 3 FILES!
It contains:
- .cfg (800mb!!!!)
- Guild Wars Icon (to open the game)
- And another one

So i don't know anything about hacking.. but the only thing about information i can give is this thing. So make yourself some nice food and go make a hack.. because it will take long...
