Ok, I was using this hack before and it worked fine but after hearing you guys sayin this file is infected with a trojan, I'm now scared to death. How do I delete this trojan? That other guy says it creates a file in my system32 folder, but I can't find that file.

u use the search program to search ur hard drive for the file (the name s sumwehre in 1 of the threads) just copy n paste on the search box.. and when u find it..delete it

If someone non-MPC would have done this, without knowledge of the trojan, he would be banned immiedatly (spelling sucks atm, too much beer.)

I hope you do this consideration when someone non-MPC (or someone you don't know) post a file with a trojan, when the guy says he didn't know it was infected.


And btw, your pretty stupid if you don't scan your files for trojans/viruses, when posting it somewhere. You don't just harm yourself, but other people too.

colamixx has more of a loss than a gain by posting trojans

u say hes stupid for not scanning the files...but u download one maphack with the trojan and you scan it
tell me if your anti virus picks it up..

To Colamixx: Put a disclaimer on your site saying you download the files at your own risk, then the flames will be put out

And if you're worried about trojans/viruses/keyloggers...guess what?

dont cheat, cuz you took the risk of doing it, ur putting urself at harm

I never downloaded it, so I dunno if my virus scanner picks it up...
but I don't care who posts a cheat, as long as they scan it, with a updated virus definitions list...

And if the trojan don't get picked up, even when scanned, I ofcourse don't blame then, then it's absolutely not their fault.
As long as they scan it, before posting. Then they have done their part.


But I think, that if someone puts a cheat with a trojan in it, the moderators/admins should atleast ask why/how it could happend.
If the person don't reply with a good reason, ofcourse you should ban him.

and another thing, as you can see...all the maphack archives are labeled WarCraftMaphack.zip or something similar

I myself sometimes do not know which one is the trojan and which one isnt

thats why i do not use it...i myself did not download anything off of colamixx's site because i myself was confused, so he may be too
