Becuase many people dont understund how to install GameGuard Bypass
i going to explain in details how to do.
If you need help during you doing this scroll down.

First choose if you wan't to do this with Abyss Web Server or IIS

IIS
1. Install IIS (Internet Information Service)
2. When you have installed IIS. Go to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot and extract the GG files into GameGuard\webzen\EngServer.
3. Go to Start --> Run and type in
%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\
4. Rightclick at the "hosts" file and click Open.
5. Add a line that says
127.0.0.1 update.nprotect.net
6. Save and close the file.
7. Rightclick at the file again and click at Properties. Tick the checkbox that says "Read-Only". Then click "OK"
8. After that go to your Mu folder and delete the "GameGuard" folder
(Deafult C:\Program\Webzen\Mu).
9. Start Mu and see how its update. Close Mu and start it again. If it's work
you will see a new GG image when update.
10. If you wanna be sure that this really work only go Start --> Run and type in
C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1
11. Open the newewst log file. And if its something like this:

Abyss Web Server

Now you can run which hack you ever wan't :D

This is the oldest GG files avaible now. Older GG files you have then better :P

Help:
1. The GG files should be extracted to
IIS C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\GameGuard\webzen\EngServer
AWS C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs\GameGuard\webzen\EngServer
2. When you going to add the line in the "hosts" file, there is 2 files.
One that name "hosts" and "hosts.ics". It's the file "hosts" there you going to add the line.
3. Have any questions write it here in this Thread or just mail me

I recommend IIS for professional people.

No, IIS is not necassary, you can use Abyss Web Server instead.

If you use AWS don't all hack that's working with IIS work

So:
IIS = More Advanced Hacking
AWS = Normal Hacking

only use "Search"

i will use IIS when i find a way to get it without sp 1, i don't like using SPs, until then, loopback.

just one more thing.... when you say the RUN PROMPT on the tutorial, you mean the windows prompt (console), right??

You forgot TinyWeb, Yoshi. It works just as well, if not better, than the other two, and it's half the trouble to set up.

So humble, these young'ns. No one is a "professional" hacker, Yoshi. If you have a hack, there, you hack. The webserver you use doesn't make you professional or not, there really is no way to be professional when hacking. There's experienced, and then there's total noobs that haven't been reported, and have mastered basic windows utilities, who think they're pro.

The files havnt been approved by a moderator yet, you have to wait for the moderators to scan the files for virus's. Be patient.

Download IIS? why? its in window OS disk. here my server :D it work for all bypass

Win server 2003 OS - Ram 2 GB - Hard disk 120 GB
SMTP installed (its good for bomb mail -_-' )
Net Framework 1.1 and 2.0 installed
Domain installed
FTP control installed
and more...
i make it cause i wanna running a game server ^^ . So Is it work for bypass?

u dont need to dl IIS if u have a Windows XP professional cd. If u have it then pop in the cd. Go add/remove program. then select add/remove windows component. Then scroll down and u will find internet information service. check the box(tick it), then select next.It will install the IIS .

But look the log files is not the same..and game gurad files when i deleted,when i start MU again they come back for MU folder.. :S

When I got to start, Run and type in "%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\" I only have these Files listed..

ImHosts.sam, protocal, services & network.. I don't know a HOST File.. Any one have any ideas ?

you probably got a virus that destroys the hosts file ask a friend for it copy it there then search for the programm SD protector (could be found in gb section) it will keep your file from not deleting.

question:when i extract the gg files to htdocs it didnt create GameGuard\webzen\EngServer folder.Should i create these three folder in htdocs then put gg files in EngServer???

Try use both AWS and IIS.
I have both installed :P
And you don't need to download ISS if you have Windows XP Pro.

i tried using AWS but it wont download the gg files from aws.... it downloads the normal ones. when i look at my host file it changed the 127.0.0.1 to #27.0.0.1 and i made it read only but it still does the same thing..... anyone know how to fix this????? thnx if u can help me out!!!!!

yoshi, i cant install iis coz i have sp2 and no windows server 2003 but my abyss works fine
listen im using cain and able to switch the ip address i did also change the host file...
my problem is that: when im browsing to updat.nprotect.net my abyss page is appear but when im opening the game (after deleting the gg files) it is steel downloading the new gg.
i did some checks with the cmd.exe (netstat -...) and i have one wired site that everytime opens with the update.
his ip is 61.78.35.19 i think that the update is coming from there coz all the other connections are 127.0.0.1 and this is the only one which has port 80.
now there r 2 problems:
i cant block this site with cain&able
and if i will what does it madder... i mean what am i suposed to do?...

YOUR GAMEGUARD BYPASS DONT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!
IT IS UPDATING ON WEBZEN ORIGINAL.YOUR BYPASS IS VERY OLD, SO NOBODY CAN USE IT.MAN PLZ POST A NORMAL BYPASS.
I DID EVRYTHING U SAID, BUT NOTHING HAPPENS

This is the third time this was posted....(The tutorial) and all three times it never worked:P.

Also, Nprotect has more then just update.nprotect.net

It has update.nprotect.net update.nprotect.com and another url.

ok the iis method .. when u enter update.nprotect.net in browser, you're prompted to a id pw .. only after u login with you pc thing then you can see the webpage. lol is this why we're not getting files from webserver ?

yoshi if ur GG work,, pls post ur GG files again.. because ur GG file posted are in *.des *.erl format... not the real *.NPZ files...

all people get this problem :-

anyone remember how when mu downloads the gg files they appear as .npz (in the corner of your screen in the retry cancel thing) i remember them being zip files renamed to *.NPZ

i think yoshi is bull shitting about this bypass still working for him

followed the steps but still won't update from my files
using abyss
changed my host files, adding 4 lines
127.0.0.1 61.78.35.19
127.0.0.1 update.nprotect.net
127.0.0.1 http://update.nprotect.net/
127.0.0.1 http://www.update.nprotect.net/
(read only)
i can download the files from goning to my brower
using the url http://update.nprotect.net/gameguard/webzen/engserver/splash.jpg
in other words 127.0.0.1/gameguard/webzen/engserver/splash.jpg

but when i update in game it just updates the real files from some unknown site.
i could not find the site, tryed blocking mu from my firewall so i get a alert msg hoping to give me an ip but it did not show up rite i think it gave me the server address and that won't work

edit: did some more messy work
i have a router so this is what i did with my hosts

well using these in my host i found that every address worked to show me my abyss page except 61.78.35.19 (the ip of update.nprotect.net) and 63.105.207.86
(the muonline.com global ip) so i need some help or explanation as to why this is the case.

i found these 2 ips by >Run>type "cmd"> and while mu was updating it's last gg file (6 of 6) i had entered the command netstat and saw those 2 at the bottom

these 2 ips could maybe help us if we find out more about how they are used to update gg

P.s.

don't respond just to say this is old as someone still claims it works

and don't just say to me those 2 ips are used for gameguard to update gg files
(cuz it brings us nowhere)
and i'm looking for something more like

eg. mu installs something so that we can't trick 61.78.35.19 as our webserver ip

or if you know your stuff about host files then plz enlightin us

uh seems that the host file is useless for tricking anyreal ip to your localhost

waht i am trying to say is I i tried to add the lines 127.0.0.1 http://www.google.ca
and 192.168.0.1xx http://www.google.ca
but it did not load my abyss page it went to google normal

so yeah i'm slumped yoshi try to put those ip's (from previous post)in your brower tell me if it goes to your w/e page aight?

and if it means anything i use xp pro sp2 eng

Your mistake that in hosts the file should not be placed http: // and ftp: // !

Here is how it is necessary:
.......
127.0.0.1 www.google.ca

When you test DNS you should know rules:
1. As soon as YOU edit hosts file and save it , the system at once learns changes about it. It is not
necessary to be reloaded system. These changes appear in cache of names (look section 3).
2. What to learn conformity IP and name, it is necessary to use a command:
ipconfig /displaydns
and for test it, it is necessary to use a command:
ping "name"
3. In system there is a cache of names! That it to erase it is necessary to use a command:
ipconfig /flushdns.
But this command does NOT erase names received from hosts files.
4. The system looks a name in a cache and if does not find it sends inquiry to a server dns.
IP sever DNS it is possible to learn if use command ipconfig /all.
5. To send inquiry to server DNS it is possible to execute a command nsloopup

If you use router you sometimes need to open a port.(If your router doesn't open the port by itself).
The port is: 44405
And it's ONLY this line you should add to your host file:

127.0.0.1 update.nprotect.net
