Ok, I know thats not exactly a cheat or exploit, but knowing how to build a good character is half the battle. The game is still in beta, so things will change somewhat I'm sure, but since it comes out the 28th, I doubt to many major changes will take place. I thought It would be cool to have a thread where people can post their best character builds and profession combinations. Please postem if you gotem :P.

Don't know if this is exactly right, but my last character was only lvl 10, so not sure about attribute placement.

Elemental/Warrior

Firestorm
Flare
Inferno
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Gash
Sever Artery (or something like that)
Healing Signet

and a lightning spell for armored foes...can't remember what though.

Well, theres my 2 cent, not much, but it worked for me. Oh and didn't test it much agaist pvp just pve. Look forward to seeing some characters builds.


*sigh* and for those who don't know about guild wars, go to www.guildwars.com and check it out. You can access the beta through weekend events by preordering it. Next beta event is 15th I think.

i chose warrior/monk. frenzy,bleeding and healing signet as warrior skills and mending,resurect, and healing as monk skills
now i upped my healing attribute and swordsmanship and rocked arenas :)

sounds like a workable combination. Don't suppose you have a spare dragon sword lying around for the next beta? :ermm: Or maybe where I could find the phoenix spell. Well, that is if they didn't wipe the characters from this last beta.

uh i just managed to reach yaks bend, it was my first beta. best i got was vampiric blade..do they keep the characters between betas or they wipe them?

Well, there were some pretty strong characters that I meet the last go around, so either they played 24/7 or had hacks or they didn't wipe them from last beta. I'm guessing they're going to just let the characters hang around til the release of the game.

they don't wipe between betas, but once it goes live....yeah.

I rather like the monk build, i played Guild Wars with some of my friends.

We should form a guild at some point and call it the MPC guild :bunny: ! Hmmm....well I was joking ...but now that I think about it, I'm not so sure thats that bad of idea :). Hmm...well it's a good thought to throw out there. Whats everyone think of the idea?

i preordered my collectors edition copy of GW from www.play.com and as such didn't get the beta key :( (i found out after preordering from play.com that its actually GAMEPLAY.com that you need to preorder from to get the beta key)

any other LEGAL way of getting into the beta events?

well if you know someone that preordered and did get a beta key, they give you two of them. One for you and one for a friend. Perhaps someone on here has an extra, I would, but i've already given mine to someone. Though they are more of a everquest II kinda person :P.
