connect different port

is it possible to connect to a quake2 server through port 21 ? it seems q2 ports always 279xx but admin at edu doesn't have it enabled

you need a port rerouter or port remapper and remap port 279xx to port 21. Though there are chances that it may not work since port 21 maybe occupied, try some other less frequent used ports for that. Btw you need to knw the exact port number to reroute or else it will not work.
