I searched and didn't find anything, but is there any way to spoof your IP, or do you just need a proxy? If the latar, where can I find a good list of fast proxies?

proxy is for websites.
ip spoofing is actually ip changing, some people say if you have modem keep power off for 24 hours, or call your isp for new ip. if in telephone just log out and log in and you have a other one.

It's braodband, and modem off for 24 hours doesn't work (large power outage last year, IP is still teh same as before it) Oh well.

im only repeating what was once posted at the forums probally theres alot of posts about this thing. with broadband ?
hmm you could see if a ip is free like yours is 64.26.142.234 whell then ping .235 if its no response you can try to request that ip thruw to disable auto obtain and then put the ip in. i dunno if it works at your isp. maybe at some and others not. else its the best to just call your broadband isp and ask a new ip

ty zgamer - nice post.
Plastique a forum search would have shown u all those threads - changeing of IP etc has been discussed many times here.
if u search some more you'll find a recent thread here mentioning some ppl have to clone their MAC addy in order to get a new IP addy. this does all depend on whether u were assigned a dynamic or static ip from ur ISP - generally most residential are dynamic meaning they can be changed either by switching off router/modem for a period of time or using ipconfig commands or via mac cloning.
