Hey I just started playing SC and I beat single player with all the races and I wanna start playing on bnet, what are some good tactics to use, and for which races? And how do you counter someone who just does an all out non stop rush?

my best way of stopping an all out rush is with terran, just get a few firebats, later i will try to remember to post more strats

Best strat? Get your ass kicked like 50 times and learn the hard way :P. Thats what I did, now I consider myself an expert. I still get schooled a lot...or bsed hehe. As for rush, dont go all out defense. Thats the common mistake people make. You must balance your defense and offense. Dont forget, your defense is there to get torn down, your offense is a fallback and what you use when your enemy is busy building. Sorry if my strat sucks :)

Zerg-lurkers and spores around them, then build lotsa hatcheries..8 preferrably and start cranking out hydralisks..they kick butt!
Terran-sorry haven't played terran in a looooooooong time..dont like that race too much hehe
Protoss-defensive:surround your base with cannons, just put a photon cannon in every little crack you see. Offensive: make a line of gateways and start cranking out dragoons..those things rock in groups =) If you prefer air, go with scouts..they are way better than carriers..but again, in groups.. Hoped this helped =]

here's my 2 cents,

rush the guy with 2 drones, making sure you built a spawning pool before

build 2 creep colonies in his nexus//command center// hatchery and as soon as they complete building, morph them into sunkens

sit back, and watch his/ her reaction

That tactic is great, especially on smaller maps.

Yea, it really pisses the guy off.
What you need to do when someone 6 ling rushes you though, is to counter with either firebats when your terran, or with zlots and a couple goons as toss. From my experiance, the guy is owned.

does this only work on zerg? :P lol i mean u would have to build on the creep. :D
