Ok i have Winrez on my machine and i have unrezzed the Attribute files in my AVP folder, but where do i look under for the values of items? I already know the Ammo hack so I will use that as an example. Nowhere in the weapons bute files does it say that the knife = 67 but it gives other numbers like the ID and DescriptionID and stuff like that , but when i search these things nothing pops up about the weapon? How do i understand the bute files, what do i look under? Sorry for the noobishness, thanks for any help though.
Ok , I'm looking at the vision modes.txt bute file and it gives no numbers for the visions..does it just go by the number of the vision like 0, 1 , 2, ... or am i requried to search for an unkown and just keep changing the visions and keep processing? All Im asking is what can the bute files actually help me with, and where do i find this information inside of the bute files?

Some numbers you can just do a straight search for but others like ammo hack somebody had to search by unknown inital number and then narrow it down.
Come to think of it avp2 is the only gave ive ever seen that has a butes file is there any others .

Wow, as many senseless replies I've seen on this board, flaming and whining, you would think I would atleast get a decent response on this, atleast some guiding information, but maybe im looking in the wrong site, whatever.

... That's the only response there is. The only reason why we know the value is because somebody decided to give it to us after they did exactly what was told to you... Use Tsearch, look for an Unknown value, and narrow it down, as always. Feel free to go to another board, but in my opinion, this is the best one. Give people a chance, man. I don't mean to flame you or anything, but there isn't very many people that actually visit this section... I am so I can learn more, work my way into C++, and work on stuff for CSS someday.
Anyways, good luck.
