Got banned...but with a twist...

Well...Happily playing on a BF2 server as I do most days. Flying along, with some retarded lag spikes. Eventually got disconnected by the server, with the message Global Hardware ban.

But get this, heres the twist....I WASN'T ****ING HACKING.

I've NEVER hacked in BF games EVER.

What the **** is this shit...I've been banned from Americas Army, but ffs, this is a totally different game, involved with a totally different company. Not to mention, I've been playing the demo since it came out until now!

Anyone else had problems?

I'm a bit pissed, seeing as i've pre-ordered this game.

Both games use punkbuster. You are banned based on your hardware. In theory, you shouldn't be able to play any game with PunkBuster.

Time to google hardware spoofing...

Are you hardware banned (cant play at all,even by creating another account) by PB from AA?

Right, if he isnt hardware banned by pb it doesnt matter he should still be able to play anyother game using PB, its only if hes hardware banned that you cant play any other games that use PB.

nope if you get hardware banned in one punkbuster supported game its going to effect all punkbuster games in the future.
what i would do is get new harddrive(s), spoff you mac network cards address(google SMAC).
or finde a spoffer that goes by PB's method of getting drive info.

lol dont stop at the hd, because i heard pb does HWR bans on random hardware devices (VC,SC,NIC,HD,MB,ect...)

I dont know what relly happend there but what i think the server u was in some one had some type of private hack that was trying to hack into pb and trying to mess with punkbuster for it not to detect it. But bunk buster detected it and Hardware ban evry one in that server cuz it couldent find who that hack is comeing from..... :confused:

What I think too is if what i said was write PB will try to find were that hack was comeing from till it finds it. And when it dose it will probly unban hardwear ban and hardwear ban that person with the hack.

If you saty like that for ever go to e-bay and buy a new harddrive or look in a garrage sale and if they selling a good computer there u can take the pieace u need from there!!! O.O
