rank set to zero because cheating ^^

since i was caught with n7's multihack my rank got back to zero, like i didn't played before on a ranked server :S

anyone else got caught and rank reseted ? :devious:

i highly doubt that they reset your rank, i thought the same thing happened to me because my gun wasnt unlocked and it said in BFHQ that i was a private. Then i just logged out and waited 30 min and logged back in and everything was normal

but my times of sqaud leading, beeing commander and so on are all reset to zero, my medals are all away ...

i am sure thy reseted

I'd have to say it's possible, I mean anything is. Maybe you got a user database admin who saw that you had some PB violations and felt like he wanted to be a jerk and reset your rank? LOL, I have no idea.


BTW, since were on the subject, does anyone know how the heck you unlock a weapon? Sorry to get off-topic a bit, but this is bothering me. =\

i had it but not from cheating , i just reconnect aftet 1min to get all the info on ea forum they post about how bugging and crappy it is.

Actually a lot of people that are caught with friends or 2 computers and what not, is using each other to gain score real easy. I dont know about for cheating with hacks but it is quite possible that EA gets the logs from PBs detections. After all you have to login into an account to play on multiplayer servers, they could even be getting PB detections streamed to them with your rankings. All ranked servers must have PB enabled according to EA.

Yeah, it's entirely possible that a server admin or someone from EA reset your ranks. It could be simply the bugs in BF2 as well. I played last night for about 3 hours, never made my next rank even though the white bar was completely full.

After I logged off and logged on this morning, I hit PFC but I couldn't unlock a weapon. The odd thing is, it still showed me as a Private and the bar was still full. I had all my "time played..." tracking updated, but I was still a Private and I couldn't unlock a weapon.

So the stat and rank tracking is still a little screwy, hopefully EA will fix this soon. I think it probably has something to do w/ the lag the servers upload the data to EA or something *shrugs*.

Anyone know if you have to hit Lance Corporal before you get a wep unlock?

yup, you have to be lance corporal to unlock the gun
