Out of total curiosity, I keep hearing people talk about "offsets" and them changing. Would anyone care to indulge me on what they are and how they effect hacking?

I'm no genius, infact, I can't even make a hack.
But I believe they are things that are changed (in some hacks) to make you be able to see things, for example the chopper gunner ESP, you change the offsets so it appears all of the time.

memory has to be sectioned into little peices, Almost like houses in a neighborhood.....
1234 paper street = big house on the corner
now when MW2 or whatever updates, the Addresses dont MATCH the house anymore.
so if you send a letter to 1234 paper street it will go to some random house......

I do that too...
i almost injected the dll into mw2 instead of steam one time, probably would have just crashed. but, so far, its been over a day for me, see how much longer it will be, to see the outcome of my guinea pig testing
I checked my dummy account's profile, no "VAC BANS ON RECORD (?)" for me, so I'm safe.
Looking for a Mentor to teach me the ways of cheating \ hacking in games. Current level I yearn for : Modifying stuff in games like Combat Arms and MW 2 to where I get an advantage and can keep it private (I'd release some crap too). Eh, custom undetected esp, no recoil etc...
