It wouldn't matter.
If it was bannable it would get you banned whether you host or not. As long as you join a game and don't just use it on the main menu or whatever.
And how does Liberation affect textures at all???

I host modded TDM/AI zombies and all that...I also play MW2 with Liberation on public matches (Im not host of course)

I don't know why but I still not banned yet after 3-4 months of using this. Even VAC3 is already active on MW2.

I used to host with liberation for months last year until I got banned. Made two groups "Yoru's Cage" and "Modern Quarantine" where I respectively hosted good games where I kicked hackers and set the score and chose map to the wishes of the majority of players, and hosted Zombie Quarantine mods, and people seemde to enjoy it. It was a good run, but I kind of missed it so I bought the game again a few days ago. I don't really dare to try it on my new account, because when I try it on my prev banned account, I can enter multiplayer mode and even start a game. But of course no one can connect to me and I can't match make obviously. But I can play around for 30 secs in an empty game. But whenever I join a friends game it says "Cheat Detected". Does this have to do with Liberation being detected or is it because I'm playing on a banned account?

Also, if it IS detected, do any of you know of a successor to Liberation, or another prorgam like it that's undetected so I can keep hosting good games and zombie mods?

If you want to be safe, I suggest you keep an eye out on the latest mw2 liberation beta realeases. I believe the boys at steam keep improving the VAC algorithm so I would keep an eye out for latest releases to be safe.

You can check by going to Steam's settings. Under the Account tab, there will be something that says VAC status. What does your VAC status say?

Can I host modded Lobbys without opened Ports? (Nat-Typ:Strict)
and in-Game it renames me everytime to Mw2_Liberation_ how can I fix that?
