First you need a software like photoshop or fireworks. photoshop is 100 times better. play around with photoshop, learn the basic. Then get a tutorial on how to make good backgrounds from pixel2life,com or any other graphics resources from the sticky. Learn how to make good blending text, ( also from graphics resources). Another way of doing it is learn how to make a sig with a render. from any tutorials from the tutorial sticky( contributed by the members) Then crop the amount u want (usually 140 by 140 ). Just try it

I like to use Paintshop Pro X (v10), its decent, alot cheaper if you actually buy programs. And is full of features.

I have an avatar how do i make it 140px + 140px it is something like 150px + 100px, I have uploaded the avatar @ its 150px + 100px state. kthnx

other forums have much, much more members then this forum and still get to wear about 4 sigs each!

hey im getting into photoshop, can anone tell me some basic tips and tricks, like the basic ideas u use, lets say if you make something with eyes moving in a avatar
(:S complicated :S) then maybe you could say, alright this button ( include pic) i use that button to do this thingo, and it can be used for -------- and wahtever, just the basic buttons and lingo of photoshop..... any help thank you is nice

basic tips and tricks.. animation of eyes moving.. they dont really go together. But for animation skyline made a tutorial for imageready. Theres loads of tutorials for basic tips and stuff

i reckon although there is heaps of tut and tips threads, someone shud make a ENTRY LEVEL TIP PAGE like the simple things people might not know, like how to load up brush sets, and letting them in on photoshop lingo, describing the terms used on these forums so they understand, instead of going thru every menu to find the mofo' button

Dunno about FZZ's, his is amazing.. but mine.. I just selected the visor on the render duplicated the selection lots of times (so i have lots of the visors) then press Ctrl+U (hue/saturation) and make it brighter on each layer. So one layer the visor would be +10, next one has +20, +30 etc.

Then in imageready for each frame just make one layer at a time visible :/

but I do wanna know how FZZ did his I think its gradient or something :/

so SD, you listened to me and made seperate layers in image ready? glad it worked...

anyway, a quick question

sometimes when i load a new brush set and select a brush, the outline of the brush doesn't show... but other brush sets the outline does show, and its not because the outline is too big because i tried changing the size of them

sorry for bumping but many noobs are spamming the request thread with stuff that belongs here so it needs revival

and to answer conquers question slightly, i dont actually know why taht happens, instead of the brush all you see is a kind of + sign thingy. i dont know why it happens but its something to do with the brush set not being in the corret mode.

yeah this happens to be quite alot.
so i'll be making a sick sig and BAM! i go to add text and it doesn't show up. so i'm lke WTf and i throw my comp out the window cus it doesn't work. why does it sometimes not allow u to add text and what can i do to allow me to?

well make sure the text layer is on the top layer, check the colour, size, font and whether the layer is visible or not (the little eye thing in the layers pallette) and the blending options.. Werid though
