Question About Changing Registers.
Alright guys sorry bout my last post, well I read the FAQ and i was up to this part:
d) An address should now be highlighted on the top of the list. Right click that and select 'Change registers at this location.' I tryed right clicking 005ee77a (jump hack) and i got this: Something came up and said Change Offset for 005EE77A. The FAQ said to "tick" the ZF Box once, only on my screen, there was a drop-down menu (1 Byte, 2 Bytes, 4 Bytes, 8 Bytes, Float, Double, Text) Im stuck here and would like to know how to get to this ZF Box. Thanks, and majorly sorry about my last topic, a but n00bish. ;_; |

Sigh. I'm being nice because at least you read up on the topic.
Go to 'memory view'. It allows you to see the layout of MS's memory, in handy disassembled form. Then go to the address provided (Press control+G, type in the address) Right click> change register. Tick ZF. Make me some cookies. Now you can fly. |

Make sure you are in the Memory View section of CE. Then you can right click, and choose "Go to this address." Type in whatever cheat you want to go to (005ee77a for Fly Hack) and right click on that, and you should be able to "Change Register at this location."
The only thing I can see you might be doing wrong is that you aren't actually in the memory viewer. EDIT: TiMBuS beat me to it ![]()

^A lot of people do, but the thread get's flooded really easily so alot of posts just get lost and unanswered. As long as it isn't completely begging, I don't mind helping out.

Yes, I always think that first going to memory view is daunting, and changing registers didn't make sense to me at first. As such I think its fair to provide help in this area. In fact I think it was sunbeam who first taught me about changing registers, of all people =D
**** Kittta, the code is (should be) now in effect. Sometimes the debugregs don't work, and this is commonly known as "CE being a pain in the ass." Right click the now green line, press 'toggle breakpoint. It will pause for a second and then all of a sudden the green line will disappear. Retick the register. It MIGHT now work. The fly hack? Just hold down left or right and your jump key, and it will float up...if you press your jump key over and over again, you can kinda float back and forth, hopping in the air.
Please don't show off and get yourself banned.

Yeah, most of the memory view hacks, where all you need to do is tick zf, are pretty much executed once zf is ticked.
Eh, I blame it on my slow processor for my slow posting. ![]()
