Okay, so I'm going to compile, or attempt to, all the info on bans from continuum here.
The most useful talk about it I've found is here: http://www.mpcforum.com/showthread.p...ight=continuum I've already been banned from the SSC servers on continuum. That accounts for well over half of all the zones, if not the major ones in run today. And doing a reinstall of continuum doesn't seem to work, as they obviously do indeed have either some internal hook in your computer or have a record of your nic card or something to that extent. I actually have two ethernet ports on my computer I can switch from, and doing so apparently does crapola for me. So i'm assuming it's sort of a layered system to this. First and most obvious layer: Tag name / profile. Doesn't really matter what I do, if I get banned with a certain name, I'm not going to get back in with that name.(I'll say why/how in a second.) Second layer has got to be a hook in the system or your mac address.. How this is done, I'm not a programmer enough to know. Would be nice to find someone that can track this part down. I actually have two ethernet ports on my motherboard; one by nvidia another by... something else, not sure. Changing this doesn't do crap either. Third Layer: IP address. This is the easiest to bypass. Now there's a very easy bypass for all of this. If you havea a high-speed connection, and depending on your ISP, you may have a dynamic IP from your service provider. For me I can just click the router off, then back on, and vioala, IP is changed. ---Test that here: www.whatismyipaddress.com/ As for the second layer.. I've noticed that it doesn't carry over between operating systems. So I can open up the same client in the same folder on a different OS on the same computer(dur) and play whatever I want. However, if banned on both os's, then i'm screwd regardless. I have both on my system. I can hop on the x64 system, and log on to any name I want(except the specifically banned one) without worrying if the other names will suddenly be registered to be on the banned list zone-side. They obviously don't keep track of additional names used once the first is banned, or so I've noticed. Logging onto one that hasn't been banned(server-side) while on the XP Pro OS will still show the 'you are banned message,' yet I can still log onto it when I change over to XP x64. Okay, now all that that's done... still I'm creating this post in hopes that Somebody can find a method around the ban without having to just reinstall the entire OS. So, there's my run of it. Hope this helps anyone else out there... and happy cracking... happy gaming. Last edited by Nossy; 16th May 2006 at 07:05.. |

Get one of those real nerdy hackers in here to help. I've tried Tunneling to bypass a ban, but it didn't work. Funny thing is, the guy who was trying to help me said that if the programmers of Continuum programmed the SOCKS 5 properly, that it would've worked; but since they messed up on it, it actually prevents hacking.

there's a good 4-5-6 layers when you get netbanned by bang
and yes it's possible to get past a netbanned *and actually VERY VERY easy* nic card, mac, id's, Volume ID, regestry, username, ip..., computer name, windows username *don't know how they got this* just a few I remember on the top of my head all must be changed also don't reformat your computer, dosen't work what else... hmmm think that's the basics of getting by a ban |
