UCE - Actual Search & Replace Help

I'm posting this in the hopes that it saves me some time, I was editing all the files using notepad/delphi, but figured, like most, that Actual Search & Replace would be much much faster.

The problem is, it just won't work. I'm able to load the program, change the settings and my editor to delphi, go to options, the first box for subdirectories is already checked.

When I go the Search % Replace tab, I set my directory to my UCE Delphi Directory, which just happens to be on my K: drive, I also tried moving it to my C: drive.

Under masks I initially tried putting "newkernelhandler.pas; DBK32functions.pas; DBK32.dpr", both with and without the "'s. I also tried putting *.* in masks.

In "To Search" I put, CreateRemoteAPC for example
and "To Replace" I put FunFun11

No matter what I put in masks, search, or replace, when I hit the Search button, absolutely nothing happens, it still says the half window as if I'd done nothing at all, no seeking/hd access, no rise in system resources, no rise in cpu resources.

I'll edit the files by hand if need be, but hopefully someone has had a similar brain fart and can help.

I have tried enabling and disabling the "Whole Word" option.

Use different tools, google.com -> search & replace.

Thanks, if I don't get any better suggestions, I'll look for another tool tomorrow. I figured since everyone seemed to be using this program, it would probably be the one best suited to the task.

I found a really sweet one, thats what I made my UCE with, insert the file format to scan in the folder and subfolders, fast and easy, called inforapid, free.

I tried that program, and I have to agree, it is pretty sweet, so far so good, thanks. Hopefully this is the only problem I have making my own UCE (admitedly using a tutorial, for now....)
