Key logger, spyware, etc.

Hey,
Looking around, a lot of ppl are always checking for viruses and keylogggers and such. I'm just wondering, if u do download something and u fear there's a keylogger or something like that, what program do u use to get rid of it? Like the admins or the ppl that do actually open the link or download the file or w/e, if u discover something, i don't think u guys reformat ur comp right away. I think that's kinda important to let out for those impatient ppl that just go clicking every download here thing on any site so they don't get fawked up, or maybe fawk their parents for having stupid kids even if the kids deserve it. Or you guys just use like the first few links that pop up when u search free keylogger remover on google?

Scan it with antiviruses that are website based.
